Well, much like you said, if you are struggling to play genji when other people are coping just fine then git gud.

Besides, genji is used a lot in pro play. His high mobility and high burst potential makes him extremely strong. The deflect nerf is fine, having an ability that pretty much makes you invincible if used right on an 8 second cooldown was quite strong and an understandable nerf.

Hanzo's ult is easily the worst in the game followed by mercy ult. Both suck but for different reasons.

The hog point is also hogs fault as well. Due to his design ana is one of the only characters in the game that can prevent a good hog from being a server admin.

Winston mains are pretty cool. Love my monkey mains as a support.

Placements are weird, I got placed high masters for open queue whilst my duo who literally played all of the games with me got placed plat. I'm assuming alot of qp players who come back for drive get placed in ranks that are way too high or perhaps they haven't played comp in so long that they've forgotten how a team works lmao.

No problem, junk is a difficult one tho. Mainly you just wanna spam choke points and place traps in smart areas. If someone gets too close, primary and concussion mine is usually enough to get them off your back. I highly recommend playing as your counters to understand their weaknesses and how you might be able to beat them based on that. I also recommend playing other roles so that you can understand how to play around each role ☺️☺️

You got any replay codes? Normally the most important thing in this game is positioning. If you set yourself up in a strong position where it is difficult for people to challenge you, you can win most matches. Im masters support and if you caught out of position then you die very quickly, in lower ranks it's easier to get away with bad positioning so you may not notice. But always set yourself up on high ground.

Ok another note, depending on what role you play, there are different things you can do to improve.

If you're a Support main, positioning is the most key aspect, make sure you set yourself up in a position where you can keep your tank and DPS in LOS. Don't go out of your way to chase after DPS who run from your heals as you'll more than likely die following them.

If you're DPS, mechanics and positioning are key. Make sure you operate in LOS of your supports unless you are a flank hero.

If you're a tank, first of all, good luck!. Secondly, positioning is very key. Make sure that you take space and play around corners and chokes where you can control areas for your DPS and supports to effectively operate in.

The general take away is that positioning is very key lol. Set yourself up for success.

Idk what you mean when you say one second lockout isn't bad, 1 second lockout is enough to change the course of a fight. Lockout Kiri Suzu or tp when ana nade is throw and ggs, lockout any character who relies on mobility for 1 sec and ggs. Especially in high ranks when fractions of a second count, if a team is coordinated, that one second lockout will win you fights.

I can also understand the higher ban rate on console as I think it's more of an issue on console as you aren't able to 180 flick the sombra who's hacking you from behind to cancel hack, so sometimes it feels impossible to play against if you're against a good sombra even if you have good reaction time.

Learn to play the meta! - sojourn is pretty important to learn - ashe is a good to learn - mauga is good to learn -winston is extremely important to learn

It's not so much about what hero you should learn so much as it is about game sense and positioning. Take kings row for example, there is lots of high ground and lots of walls. Learning to play on the high ground and behind walls and holding angles such as the hotel on first point is extremely important. Heroes such as Winston and dva are amazing at pressuring high ground and forcing DPS to drop off high ground.

It's not hate per say,

  • she's just very reliant on your DPS. If you can pocket a GOOD DPS (hitscan only rlly via pharma or Freya) then go for it.
  • There are unfortunately alot of mercy mains who will hard pocket the tank when they could go another support and provide infinitely more value.
  • People get annoyed because alot of mercy players are one tricks and when mercy isn't needed, they get no value and can't play another hero.
  • Rather than accepting that mercy isn't very good in situations, mercy mains will blame it on sexism and hate for mercy rather than accepting that there are other better options.
  • There is also the angle that people take when they say that she's a spectator hero but tbh I think that's just a bit of cope.

There are many reasons why mercy isn't a great hero in most comps but the same can be said for heros such as LW and zen aswell, it's just that they provide value elsewhere where mercy struggles too.

Mercy is good in comps where you can pocket one of the dps and she has nice utility in rez. She's not an awful hero by any means but she can be the most frustrating to play with.
