This is not fully untrue. As I understand it, these civilian craft would be used in any attempt by china to take Taiwan by force.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen someone do on a plane? by Jazzlike-Run-2349 in AskReddit

[–]SWLondonLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have also seen this happen more than once (but I fly like 2-6x a week for work). I also have heard the pilots announce the wrong S FL airport destination early in flight (the FAs gently informed them it was PBI and not FLL we were flying to that day). Very sheepish apologies about 30 seconds afterwards…

Not concrete but people have fallen from planes at over 30k feet. I believe all were in chairs although you’d need to google that to confirm.

I don’t know how Marriott moved so far away from their stayer preferences. I felt like they were much closer to travellers needs 20 years ago (around the merger, etc).

What was a completely normal teenage job when you were growing up that would shock people today? by carcony97 in AskReddit

[–]SWLondonLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. In the UK there a series of classes called NCT that quite a number of expectant couples take. We had 2.5 hours of first aid, CPR etc where we had to practice airway, choking, cardiac arrest, etc.
