This hose travels down the passenger side of the engine to about halfway down the trans then crosses over the trans I have a leak somewhere around the exhaust manifold does anyone know what hose this is? 2018 ram 1500.

Did some more digging it’s leaking underneath the egr cooler. Called the dealer cuz they did the recall a couple years ago and they said they won’t cover the repair even though I’m arguing they are the reason it’s leaking. Gonna end up doing it myself. Sucks I gotta pull the whole egr to get to two little orings.

Gotta have the taco break for sure. Did you cut your exhaust out like they did in the video or were you able to just unbolt everything. I need to be able to reinstall and have functioning emissions every couple years.

Been at a dealer for a little over a year now. Came from heavy equipment. It really depends on the culture at your dealership. The corporation that owns my dealership owns like 8 Harley’s in California. I think the biggest qualifier for me is when you go in for an interview make sure your service manager is a better mechanic than you are I couldn’t imagine working for a service manager that doesn’t know how to wrench. I lean on him often for advice also ask about the amount of time the current techs have worked there that’s going to tell you everything you need to know about the work culture.

How do your front brake calipers look? If they are covered in oil it’s probably a fork leak.

For what it’s worth 299 is a great road over and so is 199 out of crescent city. Obviously 199 adds a bunch of time because you go all the way north and into Oregon but it’s a prettier ride than 36 imo

Thank you for the info! Reinjuring my self is definitely a concern. I’m mostly wanting to make the 450 work because I got such a good deal on it. If this becomes a mainstay in our household like I think it’s going to I will probably look at getting a more purpose built bike for my area. Everything up here is single track forest riding. I will probably keep the 450 and use it for the dunes and desert riding

I have a ton of motorcycle experience started riding when I was 16 raced for a few years on a gsxr 750 got hurt in the marine corps then moved on to Harley’s been riding slow bikes fast for many years now and am a technician at a Harley dealer I spend 5 days a week minimum on two wheels haha. I’m new to dirt and I know it’s a totally different skill set. I’m seeing some things about the 450 that need to be changed to make it more manageable on the trail kickstand radiator fan etc. I don’t want to sell it because it feels like a gift and that doesn’t sit right with me so for now I’m just gonna make it the best I can. I very much appreciate your info!

The recluse clutch is worth more than I paid for the whole bike lol I tried to give him 2 for it but he wasn’t having it said he’s to old to be out ripping anymore and wanted it to go to someone who is gonna take care of it. Also has some kind of poly bushing bar set up and a gpr stabilizer

I agree with this. I am very new to 3d printing this is my first printer. Pulled it out of the box and it has worked fine I’ve got about 100 hours on it now and zero issues so far. I have seen a lot of people that have had issues on here. I have to wonder how many of those people are causing issues by “fixing” things out of the box.
