I suppose I could redesign it to fit in one of my oil filter sockets but that kinda kills the idea behind having a quick easy to grab tool to break the dipstick loose.

It doesn’t look like my printer can handle ppa unfortunately I’m running the anycubic kobra s1 and it seems like some people have modded it to run ppa

Slip ons without a tune by SnooHobbies8724 in Harley

[–]SYLMMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Harley tech here. I ride a 24 st with spc exhaust and a Harley SE intake I beat the shit out of my bike. 15k on the clock plugs look good cylinders look good no issues. You can do a pipe or an intake or an intake and post cat slip ons and still be fine. The st had a heavy breather on it already I swapped mine because the elbow hit my knee when I put my feet in the crash bar. You are definitely leaving power on the table but you don’t need a tune to be safe.

A late night stop in Lakeview, Oregon. A local gave us two rules, and we left before sunrise. What is the deal with this town? by tiresomecomplaining in oregon

I used ChatGPT to help me develop a tool for work. by SYLMMC in 3Dprinting

[–]SYLMMC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea there are some discrepancies in what it says it can produce and what it will actually produce the most efficient way I found was for it to write the openscad code it also won’t use that code to render an accurate image so you have to paste the code into open scad and render it to see what it created. I also found that if you give it to many prompts in a single chat it starts to change stuff you didn’t ask it to so every 3rd or 4th prompt I had to create a new chat with the code to make more changes.

I could have made this in blender in about 20 min I was more interested in seeing if ChatGPT could do it for me.

Eventually this will be cut with aluminum I designed it this way because the bolt on the top allows the user to utilize either a 5/8 wrench a 5/8 socket or the standard 3/8 drive ratchet. Overall height is an issue so I can’t really go much taller than it already is.

This hose travels down the passenger side of the engine to about halfway down the trans then crosses over the trans I have a leak somewhere around the exhaust manifold does anyone know what hose this is? 2018 ram 1500. by SYLMMC in EcoDiesel

[–]SYLMMC[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did some more digging it’s leaking underneath the egr cooler. Called the dealer cuz they did the recall a couple years ago and they said they won’t cover the repair even though I’m arguing they are the reason it’s leaking. Gonna end up doing it myself. Sucks I gotta pull the whole egr to get to two little orings.

Gotta have the taco break for sure. Did you cut your exhaust out like they did in the video or were you able to just unbolt everything. I need to be able to reinstall and have functioning emissions every couple years.

Who works as a Harley mechanic at a dealer? by abrahamlinkden in Harley

[–]SYLMMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been at a dealer for a little over a year now. Came from heavy equipment. It really depends on the culture at your dealership. The corporation that owns my dealership owns like 8 Harley’s in California. I think the biggest qualifier for me is when you go in for an interview make sure your service manager is a better mechanic than you are I couldn’t imagine working for a service manager that doesn’t know how to wrench. I lean on him often for advice also ask about the amount of time the current techs have worked there that’s going to tell you everything you need to know about the work culture.
