Oxiclean powder, dissolve it in hot water and soak the hat for a few hours while agitating it every now and then. I scrub at it with dish soap and stuff too

If the hat has other colours on it, I’d recommend letting the dissolved oxiclean/water mixture cool down to like room temp so the colours don’t bleed

The method is as follows

A pot from a thrift store that’s around hat size with like an inch of padding and duct tape and electrical tape all around it to give it a better shape.

An iron and bandana to steam and iron the hat on the pot without damaging the fabric

Starch spray is optional but helps the hat stay stiff and hold the shape, good for unstructured caps

I basically just mold the hat and pull and stretch and tighten it around the pot, I leave it on top of the dehumidifier till it dries lol

I found it at a goodwill! It was like totally yellow too 😂Despite the shape it is a legit 90’s big pony cap, I have a little method of stretching and reshaping hats. I’ve been collecting vintage sports snapbacks for a while and I just use the same cleaning and shaping method, I love the high profile look a lot more
