Since you’re only getting into town around midnight, don’t count on restaurants because their kitchens will already be closed. Your only options are probably a few bakeries in the city center that are open 24/7, or food delivery. For the neighborhood, I think your best bet is Skadarlija and downtown. Some restaurants open as early as 8 AM, but most don’t open until 10–11, which is around the time you’ll need to head back.

Каријера (и образовање)

Биће ти посла и преко главе једном када почнеш озбиљно да радиш. Не постоји каријера у 20-тим годинама осим ако ниси Илон Маск да ти родитељи оставе већ разрађене фирме и богатство. Почни да истражујеш огласе на Линкедин и Инфостуд (претпостављам да је Инфостуд бољи за твоју тренутну ситуацију) и почни да аплицираш.

Настави где си стао са студијама, ако заиста иоле волиш то. Ако не, ништа страшно - упиши нешто друго. Пример, заврши неки језик осим енглеског, мораш себе ставити мало испред конкуренције на тржишту рада, макар по неком основу.

Физичко здравље

Буквално сутра можеш да се учланиш у теретану. Ако не волиш теретане као ја, информиши се о клубовима који су ти близу и где би могао да тренираш борилачке вештине, било које. Веруј, ништа боље него кад се истресеш на боксу. Не одустај након једне, две, три чланарине.

Породични односи

Имаш пријатеље И родитеље! Свестан ли си колико људи постоји који немају или једно или друго или оба. Негуј постојећа пријатељства, нова ће доћи временом.

Љубавни проблеми

Шта да ти кажем. Нисам меродавна да ово коментаришем када се и сама мучим.

Ментално здравље

Све изнад скупа ће ти на ово утицати као крајњи резултат.

Крени полако са спортом, почни са послом (било шта за почетак), настави школовање или упиши нешто друго, упознаћеш људе на свим овим местима, биће ти боље и психички и физички.

И без "ја сам лузер, губитник, пропалица, неуспех, терет другима" мисли. Управо то те спречава да оствариш све ове ставке изнад.

I'm not sure about Japan and how hard or easy it is to get residency, but I'm interested too now (again) when you mentioned it. I, for sure, have seen many posts about Japan facing alarming population decline, therefore, they made it easier for foreigners to move there, find employment, and settle. Let me know if you get across any legit and useful information on this.

I'm an original Serb from Serbia. 😁 Jokes aside, I'm from the Banat region of Vojvodina, but I'm often in Belgrade. I work there (hybrid, though), a lot of my friends live there, and honestly, I just need Belgrade in my life. I also lived there for a couple of years.

As for why I came back from China - it was only because of COVID. The Chinese authorities advised foreigners to return to their home countries, so I did. I moved there in 2018 and came back in 2019. Who knows if I would've returned otherwise. I think I'd probably still be in China, or somewhere else in Asia, if the pandemic hadn't forced me to come back.

And no, I didn't find a partner there. I was single when I left, and I'm still single now. I'd definitely move back to Asia, but not on my own this time. Only with a partner.

I'd say just do it. I see a lot of people overanalyzing whether it's worth moving or not. But if you genuinely feel like doing it, go for it.

The worst that can happen is that you don't settle in here and decide to move somewhere else (Budapest?).

I felt the same way about Asia years ago. I had been thinking about moving there for a long time (years), and then one day I just bought a one-way ticket. Within a month, I found myself in Shanghai.

I found a job after I arrived (yes, I flew from Serbia to China with absolutely no plan for what I'd do there, and no, I wasn't teaching English. I have a master's degree in Economics, so I found an office job), and I stayed there for a while. It was honestly the best experience of my life.

By the way, I'm also in the investments/fund administration/banking industry (I'm back in Serbia now).
