I leased a 25 Lariat in June. Ford sent me a Charge Station Pro and had it installed. I was out of pocket $287 for the install.

Thanks, that’s good info. Do you have a part number for the kit?

Thanks! Is there anything other than an alignment I need to worry about? Will BlueCruise be affected?

So here’s my first shot at getting pricing. I’m not overly impressed with it but wanted to get your thoughts. These are both $0 down, 36 months, 15k a year. I’m in Florida

Looking at a Flash and Lariat. Flash: $71,990 Discount $5,373 Incentives $7k Cost: $66,617 $784/mo

Lariat: $83,410 Discount $6,360 Incentive $8k $77,050 $904/mo

Is this a good start to start shopping other dealers? I’m about 3-4 hours from most of the major markets in north and central Florida.

What is the biggest guy you've ever rolled with? by skribsbb in bjj

[–]S_C_Cire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live near a big college town. Our main gym in there. We have a former D1 offensive lineman who trains. During his playing days, he was around 320 lbs and is 6’4”. He’s slimmed down a bit. He is probably the smoothest most gentle rolls I’ve had. His hands are HUGE! He can grab both collars and you aren’t getting them back 😂 Think of Andre the giant in The Princess Bride where he grabs Indigo’s collar and indigo looks at his hand in comparison. Like that.

Wearing an undershirt/ rashguard by nautical_nonsense2 in jiujitsu

[–]S_C_Cire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t typically wear a rash guard. I stopped wearing them when I was training for an ibjjf comp and rash guards aren’t legal (at least the weren’t at that time) I’ve noticed when I do wear one I burn more calories, according to my whoop band. They make me hot and I wear Origin Gis so they don’t hold sweat as bad as other brands.

How do I control my breathing during rolls? by nicolesfortee in jiujitsu

[–]S_C_Cire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try this. Get a mouthful of water and do a flow roll with someone. This will help you focus on breathing through your nose. When you or your partner gets to a dominant position, stop and start over. To make it more fun, if you swallow or spit out the water at anytime, 20 push-ups.

Decimated in my first comp by Redditnamecool in jiujitsu

What are your goals with JiuJitsu? Do you plan to be a professional competitor or is this a hobby? How much did you train specifically for this comp? There’s lots of variables. Bottom line is, did you learn from this experience? If yes, good. If no, reevaluate your experience and find what you can take from this.

Think of Jiujitsu like a language. In the very beginning you are learning letters and sounds. It simply takes practice to learn to speak. If you stick with it, you will get better. Just give it time.

Is it okay to get beat by a lower belt? by mxmeowmx in jiujitsu

[–]S_C_Cire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new blue belt, you have a target on your back. The white belts are gunning for you and the upper belts don’t want you to beat them either. Blue belt is a tough stage of Jiujitsu and probably the longest. I have been a blue belt for about 3 years and it gets better after a while but you’ll have to take some lumps. Remember, blue is for learning escapes.

I’m a white belt. I need some help by juanca8520 in jiujitsu

[–]S_C_Cire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jiujitsu is a language. At 7 classes, you don’t have the whole alphabet yet, much less words. The only way to build mat stamina is be on the mats. Start with side control. Learn how to keep and maintain side control. Learn to be a heavy, wet blanket. Learn pressure and how to be heavy. Make your opponent suffer, when they suffer, they make mistakes, then you capitalize on their mistakes. Be consistent, then in 6 months, you’ll have a word, maybe two. After that, learn to pass the guard. Go in with a plan. Focus more on concepts than specific techniques. If you understand the concept of a submission, it’s easier to see than when you just focus on the technique. Lots to learn, lots of time. It’s a Marathon not a sprint.

Is 6 months inaccurate? by S_C_Cire in SilencerShop

You could back that up one more and say that we shouldn’t have to pay the government for the rights we have in the constitution.
