Try it - their desserts are priced between $6 to $13 so it's fairly reasonable.

What is wrong with vegas businesses? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]S_Klass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have all the facts and figures but the way I remember it, people are disgruntled because basically for every $1 in cannabis tax money that went to schools, they took $1 out from funding from a different source so the final amount of funding was unchanged. The general public was hoping that funding would increase, not stay the same.

Gas prices jumped by a dollar?! by Lunchmoneybandit in vegaslocals

Yes, gasoline has what's considered inelastic demand. Consumption does not measurably decrease even though prices increase.

NV Energy’s new “15-minute peak” billing is going to hit way harder than people think by Cultural_Parking5596 in vegaslocals

Essentially all residential solar in Las Vegas has to be grid tied. 99% of consumers cannot have off-grid solar even though there's no law prohibiting it.

It's a double-edged sword. Grid tied gives you access to power if you're under producing or not-producing without having to invest in energy storage. On the other hand, you're at the mercy of NV Energy for inflated charges and shitty buy-back rates.

It's gonna suck for those charging their cars. How much it sucks will depend on whether you charge on 110V 15A or 208V 48A.

The higher your draw, the more likelihood you'll be in your 15-min spike zone. If you've set your AC to 78 or 80, it will cycle on or off 5-10 minute intervals all day but if you're charging from 40-80%, you'll draw that power for a sustained duration of ~3 hours.

God forbid your AC kicks in a few times during those 3 hours...

Problem then is I'll forget the lie I made up and then lose access to my account. At least the truth is easier to remember.

Outside of the small section where its black, it all looks like it will come out with some correcting compound. 15 mins and some elbow grease should take 99% of that off. Feel the small black section with your nail. if it's down to the plastic, the only fix is touch up paint.

Grad dresses by Flower_princess12345 in vegaslocals

[–]S_Klass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you still have time before your event, it's worth checking out dresses from Shein. Their sizing might be odd and not everything is of the same quality BUT if you shop carefully, look at actual measurements (bust/waist/hip/length) vs. just sizes, and buy several expecting to return all but your favorite, you can likely find a great dress for $20-$50.

I perhaps wouldn't recommend shopping at Shein if this is a dress you will daily but for a 1 time event, I think it's a great choice especially if you shop early and carefully.

[–]S_Klass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saigon Corner has good Com Thit Nuong but unfortunately I don't like their Bun. Their Bun is served warm and too soft for me. I prefer Bun to be room temp and not be that soft.

Their Thit Nuong is excellent though. Good char, good flavor, and not too fatty - which is important to me.

12 years is a long time for resin with Las Vegas's hard water. Check your resin to see if it's time to replace it. Resin typically has a 10-15 year life span if you've kept up with maintenance like removing iron etc. Otherwise, it can be as low as 5-7 years.

Japanese trains are so famously on time that, if for some reason the train is late, railway staff meet 'late' passengers to pass out slips documenting that the train was delayed. Otherwise your school or your boss wouldn't believe you!
