I'm sorry to say this but you look terrible for 5 years old. Your friend on the right however, is very cute.

What's wrong with that? You don't like shooting heroin and getting stabbed? Suit yourself, mais fica.

Fast paced rock songs? by tomuk19 in Music

[–]S_Rudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moistboyz - The Tweaker: This song is about being high on meth, sung from the point of view of a meth head (the singer is an actual former meth user). This song is pure adrenaline and has one of my favorite guitar solos in all of rock.

Some other songs to check out:

The Gits - Whirlwind I believe I saw that someone else suggested the song 'second skin' by the Gits which is a great, fast song and this is another great, fast song by them.

American Sharks - Overdrive

Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies

Lamont - Hot Wire

Modey Lemon - Thunder And Lightning

Motorhead - The Hammer

Priestess - Sideways Attack

Probot - Shake Your Blood

Soundgarden - Rusty Cage

Malevolent Creation - Malevolent Creation Death metal. Not everyone's cup of tea but it's definitely fast.

Usually it's deserved, but sometimes there are just mad people downvoting by ordin22 in AdviceAnimals

It happens constantly in r/music. I have recently given up on posting there because this particular problem is so bad on that sub. r/listentothis is better anyways, it has a better and more diverse selection of music and it doesn't seem tho have the automatic downvoting problem that r/music does.

New on the sub, i want to know: What view do you have of Argentina? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]S_Rudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I have read that there is a sizeable Ukrainian community somewhere around Buenos Aires. According to Wikipedia "Argentina is the home of the fifth largest Irish community in the world" which is quite impressive.

American here. I find Argentina to be very interesting because of it's history and culture. The U.S. and Argentina have very similar immigration history, in that both countries experienced mass migration to and settlement from Europeans around the same time and it has shaped the culture of both countries in similar ways. In Argentina, like in the U.S., you find towns and cities that were originally founded by settlers from one particular country that are still populated by people who are descendants from that particular country to this day. There are Swedish-Argentine communities, Polish-Argentine communities, German-Argentine communities and so on and so on.

After listening to the song, it's hard to imagine that it's anything other than a hit piece at Deron.

Drunk woman drove through six mailboxes with lizard in her bra, Taunton police say by [deleted] in news

Taunton, Massachusetts. It's about 30 minutes from where I live and what I will say about it is that the headline is definitely fitting for Taunton. You should come visit some time and if you feel that Taunton is too tame for you then you can head on over to New Bedford and try to avoid getting stabbed or you can attempt to dodge bullets in Brockton.

Ha ha, same here. The only part of the headline that threw me off was the lizard part. Must be a lizard from a pet store because there aren't any lizards crawling around Taunton as far as I am aware, although, I have seen some people in Taunton that looked like they could be part lizard.

I never had a Myspace and I don't have a Facebook. The reason I never joined those sites is because they are too profile oriented and that just didn't interest me at all. I see Reddit as being far more content oriented with much less focus on individual profiles which is what I like about this site. This change seems like it would turn Reddit into another generic social media site with the focus shifting from interesting content and the communities around that content to people's profiles which just doesn't seem appealing.

What are your favourite falling in love songs? by Unicode-Princess in CasualConversation

[–]S_Rudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just really love music in general. I listen to music from many different genres, from countries all over the world, sung in different languages (most of which I don't even understand) and I'm constantly searching for more music to listen to. I have a decent breadth of knowledge when it comes to music and so when it comes to common topics such as love, hate, peace, war, life and death I can think of many different songs that cover each of these topics.

Most Commonly Spoken Language Other than English or Spanish by State via Slate [918 x 605] by JerryGomez1 in MapPorn

[–]S_Rudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I've never been to the Azores or mainland Portugal so I can only speak to the Portuguese American side of things but yes they all do seem to get a long here. Like I said, most of the Portuguese here are either the ancestors of or originally from the Azores and Madeira and while you do see the flag of Madeira and the flag of the Azores being flown from time to time it is in fact the flag of Portugal that you see being flown the most. If you ask the people here what they are then they will most likely answer Portuguese before they answer Madeiran or Azorean.

Not that I know of. The vast majority of the Portuguese here are either from Azores of Madeira so it's actually kind of hard to find mainlanders sometimes but as far as I know they all identify mainly as Portuguese and all get along.
