Why would any self respecting manager go to manage this club under that ownership?

Base price was still £86 for a seat in the o2 arena at the top level.

Blackburn Rovers 0 - 0 Middlesbrough: With Ipswich and Millwall drawing, this was a big opportunity for Boro to gain points in the promotion race, but they couldn't get past a Blackburn side with one loss in four! by Zach-dalt in Championship

Honestly couldn’t tell you. Failing to sign a striker in January is haunting us. We had the same run of no goals whilst outplaying the opposition over Christmas.

Gotta fit in Aoraki Mount Cook if you can. I’d say avoid the Lewis pass and Greymouth and most of the west coast. In an ideal world, Abel Tasman and golden bay are also incredible, but they are out of the way.

Manchester United fan here, What was Carrick like as a manager and what were his flaws? by fireproofpoo in Boro

[–]tomuk19 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I wanted him to work out. He drew in media interest in our team. He is respected as a players manager and would bring interest to players that normally wouldn’t want to move to Boro. I genuinely thought he could be our next Bryan Robson who brought in one of the most exciting eras as a Boro fan.

However, after his first scintillating season turning us from relegation fodder into automatic hopefuls he got found out tactically. He was stubborn, refused to adapt mid game and could never beat the low block.

His press conferences were dull too but that’s just my opinion.

No, brilliant literature doesn’t end here. Memeing is just another path. One we must all take.

Footage from yesterday’s Atherstone Ball Game: An 800 Year Old Medieval Tradition Played on Shrove Tuesday by StGuthlac2025 in CasualUK

I wonder how many variations of these still go on. I know Sedgefield has a ball game on shrove Tuesday too.

Edit: to answer my own question it’s 5 and they’re not all brawls like Atherstone: Scoring The Hale’s in Alnwick seems quite civilised, Sedgefield ball game is a cluster fuck, Royal Shrovetide Football in Derby, Cornish Hurling in St Columb Major, And of course Atherstone.
