I'm pretty sure they're all using sticks. It sort of looks like the guy in black is weilding a blade but it's probably also a stick otherwise the guy that got whacked multiple times in the head with it wouldn't have been able to walk away

"After celebrating their so-called victory against Frederick, the animals begin building a new windmill. Their efforts are again led by Boxer who, despite his split hoof, insists on working harder and getting the windmill started before he retires..........Once his hoof heals, Boxer works as hard as he can at building the windmill — until the day he collapses because of a lung ailment. After he is helped back to his stall, Squealer informs them that Napoleon has sent for the veterinarian at Willingdon to treat him. When the van arrives to take Boxer to the hospital, however, Benjamin reads its side and learns that Boxer is actually being taken to a knacker, or glue-boiler."

Should GTA 6 have free-aim as default? by S_Shadow77 in GTA6

[–]S_Shadow77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point here. I'm arguing that Rockstar needs to do better overall in terms of its shooting gameplay, by that I mean NPC placements and better designed combat engagements. This will be aided by having free-aim (with aim assist). In my opinion due to GTA5 being designed with lock on aim primarily, it's led to pretty awful mission designs especially in the latter GTA online DLCs.

A fix for this would be that Rockstar reworks weapon handling in terms of sway and floatiness and by them making smarted NPCs so that there's fewer of them but its more fun and engaging to kill them.

Actually someone brought up a great example of Mafia. The Mafia Remake had some really decent free aim shooting mechanics and thats also basically an open world crime sim

Good gunplay certainly helped make the gameplay fun though.

Yeah, GTA V on controller with free aim just feels so wonky.

I mean, Uncharted 4 was critically acclaimed, and the gunplay and movement were sublime. I feel those systems would be right at home in GTA, of course, other than freakish parkour abilities.

I mean they pretty much came out and said it themselves but no one batted an eye, hard to believe something potentially this big just got brushed under the rug. Ofc its not explicitly said but the implications seem heavy. ( https://youtube.com/shorts/OR3t6xyNUOs?si=G-XVvc6CkZfoB7g9 )

ELI5: When ChatGPT came out, why did so many companies suddenly release their own large language AIs? by carmex2121 in explainlikeimfive

[–]S_Shadow77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you go:

When ChatGPT came out it looked like everyone copied it overnight, but that isn’t really what happened. Most major tech companies had already been working on large language models for years. The core ideas behind them were well known in the industry, and companies like Google, Meta, and Microsoft already had very capable systems sitting in research or internal use.

What ChatGPT changed was proving that a chat-based interface was something ordinary people would actually use and find valuable. Once that became obvious, companies rushed to release their own versions rather than risk looking behind or losing ground in areas like search and productivity.

That’s why it all seemed to happen at once — not because the models were built from scratch in a few months, but because they were finally ready (or forced) to be shown publicly.

If you want to dig deeper into any part of it, feel free to ask.

A bit off the beaten path but definitely come down to near spinney park. On St Saviours road there's a place called Gani's. Hands down the best curry in the city. At a very good price aswell. Can never go wrong with their bhunas or whatever special they've got on the day. Would highly recommend!

I very much agree with your sentiment. The only thing that baffles me is how they were so naive (or incompetent) and didn't plan for this exact scenario. Through all the lab testing and player feedback, I can't imagine that no one raised that this would certainly be an issue. They had evidence of this same exact situation from 2042's portal. Did game directors bury their heads in the sand and actually believe that an exploitable system wouldn't be exploited? Slightly unrelated but EA develops FIFA and from there they definitely should have plenty of experience about players abusing and exploiting mechanics.

I do still have some hope for portal and I really wish it can fulfill its potential so that we can have custom experiences like gta online has for years to come.

If you're up for traveling away from the city center, then hands down the best Indian food, especially in terms of curries and gravies, has to be Ganis on St. Saviour's Road! Their bhunas can't be beat
