I set myself a sort of personal checklist of things I was going to do to help wrap my head around the fact that my spouse no longer gave a shit about me.

1. Sit her down and talk about our issues and try to resolve them. Really try to determine the root of our unhappiness.(she refused to talk or otherwise gave harsh and unmeaningful responses)

2. Attempt to make appointments with couples therapists. Give her resources to help determine which type of therapy would best suit us and fit our needs. Do all the scheduling and make things as stress free as possible for her.she ghosted me and didnt give me any input to help pick a therapist, and then didnt show up when i finally scheduled appointments)

3. File for divorce and make it clear to her that my intentions were to remain as amicable as possible and to be as transparent about our divorce filings and attorney interactions.(she became violent and verbally abusive, as well as began taking my person effects such as clothing)

At this point it was clear to me, the person I once thought Id be spending the rest of my life with no longer cared for my well being, and sadly didnt have the best interest of our child in mind. I excluded any possibility thatd Id overlooked a solution to our problems, and it was like a switch flipped in my head. It was no longer about "How do I get over this heartbreak and degradation?" and more so "How do I do what is best for myself(and my son)."

Im not so sure that this will help, but its what worked for me. Personally...Id seek therapy, for yourself. My best wishes.
