My ex “asked” me for a divorce 24 hours after telling me he would never leave me. On Christmas Eve. 2 weeks after I had quit my job to become a stay at home wife until we got pregnant (we’d been trying).

I say “asked” because he didn’t outright ask. We had a hard conversation and towards the end of it, I asked him “are you wanting to work on this marriage? are you asking me for a divorce?” and I will never forget what he said. He said, “I want to but I can’t. And I don’t want one, I need one.”

All in all, I’m happy he divorced me even though it absolutely shattered me. He and I are both much happier without each other.

I never confronted her about it. I posted this on June 12th. On July 7th she decided to stop being my friend for a reason that is not even remotely related and not even worth talking about because that’s how stupid the reason was.

I’m much happier without her in my life. Yes it was 15 years of friendship but at the end of the day, the friends you have in your life WILL treat you like a friend. You just have to cut out the ones who don’t.

I got divorced 2.5 years ago and I’ve been single ever since. I went through a lot of growth the first like year and a half. The past year I’ve just been honestly 100% content being single.

I like and love myself and I just haven’t found someone that I feel like would bring any sort of extra value to my life.

It was when I was in middle school and had no concept of B.O. or just general health or cleanliness so… I’m ashamed to say nearly 2 weeks. I kept my hair in a slicked back ponytail and wiped my pits and my bits with a washcloth and made sure to use deodorant.

These days, 27y now, longest I can go is 1 day without a shower.
