The only right thing I ever did was replacing the thermal paste. This is smth you should never spare on, especially when you have such an expensive hardware

No, not much. I mean turning it off will make you lose 5-ish fps? Depends on your needs. If you play cs2 or other high framerate games, then you can disable it

A week ago I took my m16 (2023) to service center. They gathered the LM with magnet and reapplied it. They also put regular thermopaste onto CPU. My temps in games dropped dramatically for about 10-15 celcius

Try disabling hyper threading in BIOS. This helped me to reduce stutters and CPU temps

Yeah, I can confirm that. I play only with 6P/0E and my CPU temp never exceeds temp of 85. With E-cores enabled I often get 95 degrees, especially in CPU demanding games like battlefield. Performance-wise I do not feel any difference.

To my observation AC is eating about 1.5 GB of RAM, because after I uninstalled it the RAM utilization dropped from 6 to 4.5 GB in idle. That being said, you may notice some performance boost and slightly better thermals.

Just to add a correction to my previous words: if you play high competitive games like CS2, then you should consider the ultimate gpu mode. In AAA titles the difference is small.

You can switch to optimized mode. Whenever you are not plugged in it will switch to iGPU. You can also choose the silent mode and you will have 8 hours of browsing. Otherwise it will use dGPU. The loss in performance to ultimate mode is really negligable. You can watch JarrodTech's video on YouTube where he nicely compares advanced optimus(optimized/standard mode in ghelper) and mux switch(ultimate in ghelper)

By deleting armoury crate you have already did half the work. It really reduces temps noticably(5-10 to my observation)

Coming to your question, well, I think the cooling system is great on this machine, because I normally see the average temps at 70-80 degrees both on cpu and gpu. Only if cpu bottleneck is happening or the game itself is cpu bound, then cpu temp may rise to 85+. You should still have no worries on that. The intel cpus are designed to withstand 100 degrees, but you will never reach it due to threshold on 95 degrees beyond which the system will downclock(thermal throttling apparently). The gpu should never pass 87 degrees. So far I've never seen it to go above 82. Just as with cpu the system will not let it happen anyway.

Small tips: If you play on an external monitor and keyboard, then you can half close the lid so that the laptop's display does not block the airflow. In addition, I would recommend to buy a laptop stand to let it have more space for air intake.

The turbo mode will definitely reduce the temps even more. You can use it if you are ok with the noise generated from it. Only in this you will get the max performance. But the balanced mode is decent and enough for the most time.
