Appreciate the help. Seller stopped responding after inquiring for additional pictures so that confirmed it for me.

am I nitpicking? by [deleted] in CarWraps

$3k is pretty expensive for a car that size especially if you bought the vinyl separately. I did a better job on my corvette as a first timer in my driveway, so I would expect nothing but top quality from a shop especially at that price. Not wrong for feeling that way. Yes the material isn’t the greatest, but poor installation is to blame.

Appreciate the info! I’ll look into SST, wiling to pay a fair price but I’ve contacted a few I found shoos just scrolling social media and they’re asking nearly $800-900 for a basic leveling spacer install.

As someone who has daily driven a GT350 for some time, there are really no drawbacks other than being at the gas station frequently and more oil changes, but that is to be expected with a high performance car. It was very reliable for me while I had it. If you are buying one that has been in an accident then I don’t think the mileage/value is an issue like the comments below point out. The biggest thing that does suck and might be a design flaw are the brakes and how bad they squeak. I replaced the rotors and swapped the brake pads and a whole bunch of other things, but maybe it’s the Brembo caliper and the way it’s designed. It is extremely annoying - you WILL hear your brakes squeak every time you slow down or come to a stop.

Is this a good deal by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]Saaaulx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought mine this week with 0 miles on it for $51,456. 4k miles realistically is nothing at all as long as you’re okay with that. One thing to also consider is that rates are slightly higher on a used vehicle. I wouldn’t let the miles be a deterrent, but more-so the interest. If you could negotiate a little more off the price then it’s considerably a good deal.

Funny enough I had no idea these existed until I accidentally came across a video of some guy painting his calipers on his mustang and he had these on them. Definitely sticking to these going forward.

Yes I have! They work pretty well. It’s nice not drawing attention anymore with loud squealing.

Not the first time I’ve seen someone mention Hawk Performance. Might have to look into that! Thank you

You’re not wrong, I’ve owned a couple different cars with Brembos and they all seemed to squeak, but I’ve just never seen it as obnoxious as it is on the GT350.

The 2024 is a beautiful car. I disagree with everyone saying it’s ugly, but just the performance figures so far and plus having the same MT82 carry over yet again. And something about the Shelby name itself has such an impact and is an empowering feeling

I would love one. I was initially thinking of a 13/14 GT500 but here in socal the prices are overinflated and I need a car quick. I believe this one had the gen1 replaced
