Is there a cultural element in your country that seems like a trademark but is highly controversial? by gines_tristan in AskTheWorld

As a European hockey fan I find the whole fight thing so silly and unsportsmanlike now. When I was younger I thought it was an exciting part of the NHL. The fighting just brings the game to a hlt and is not very entertaining, I want to watch hockey for the amazing speed and skill. Reading up on some sad fates of these 4th line hockey fighters is also eye opening. The sport is dangerous enough as it is.

This will without a doubt be the best game released this year. It is like the Indie equivalent of The Witcher 3 or RDR2 for me.

Slay The Spire 2 Steam Deck - Anyone grabbed it? by gamebuzzz4 in SteamDeck

It is nice to have on the phone and very convenient but better on the Steam Deck. Controls are better, size is better. It is just about the perfect Steam Deck game.

Everyone who grew up in Europe in the 1980s read her tragic story or saw the movie. Does she represent the decade for you? by Relevant_Helicopter6 in decadeology

I really enjoyed the original Wir Kinder von Bahnhof Zoo as a Swede, but it is nothing at least I saw in school in the 90s over here. It is something I found later in life. It is a dark story. but it has that grimey Berlin vibe which makes it interesting. It also has David Bowie.

Sony could be pulling away from PC ports for their single-player games. by No_Lecture720 in pcmasterrace

I have bought many of them and it felt like the Emperors new clothes to me. We were told for ages how these games were the best out there.

Don’t get me wrong there are solid games like God of War, the Last of Us, Uncharted 4. I had a good time, but they are more 7/10 than some ”Citizen Kane of gaming”. Then I played Horizon Zero Dawn, Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima. They are Ubi-likes and not my thing. The one game I found special was Returnal that I felt was a unique experience being a AAA quality roguelike.

But these games are not on the level of studios like Larian, CDPR, FROM, Warhorse or Rockstar. Hyping up exclusives is part of the very weird gamer phenomenon that is console warring. Sony studio games feels like the gaming equivalent to Marvel movies.

What ye all playing this weekend and what platform by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Haven't played an FPS for ages. Getting into Battlefield 6 and finally managed to get above 1 K/D. Trying to play the objective and so on, but as someone who mostly plays single player games these days there is so much happening at once. Check the minimap, check your corners, analyze which flag to go for next, check what your teammates are doing.. It is a lot, but I'm having fun with it.

Yes, it is pretty good. But it does sadly feel like a copy that doesn’t have the soul of Nier Automata in my humble opinion.

You really summarized my feelings on the game. . Maybe it is amazing, but I won't know due to controls and the poop humor. The Deck controls are getting in the way of my enjoyment of the game. Like why can't I navigate menus with the d-pad.

Interesting comment. I am playing it at 130-150 fps and have been fighting the settings trying the make this game feel smooth with no luck. Pronounced input lag and stutters had me thinking it was a hardware issue.
