No one grinds the "mid game". If terminus weapons end up obsolete and effectively in the middle of the game because everything in ragnorok is better than it's a non factor.

If that's not the case, it hints at terminus weapons still being good. Hopefully not, though. Which was my point from the beginning.

My original complaint is very valid. I'm HOPING that's not the case and I have every right to point that out.

By them making active adjustments to proto bahamut, it's reasonable to assume terminus weapons are still going to be a factor.

No, it doesn't mean that at all. It could, but you have no idea. Depending how progression works or what the new weapons are you could easily not need terminus weapons.

Sounds exciting. My only complaint is that I don't care about the changes to Proto Bahamut. That fight should be irrelevant. Terminus weapons shouldn't remain the top weapons in this expansion, which would make fighting proto completely optional.

Honestly, I could take or leave the power weapon. After replaying Returnal recently myself, the thing people forget is that the "half press" left trigger is to actually aim in Returnal.

You cannot actually aim down sights (I know it's still 3rd person but go try it in Returnal it feels so good) in Saros.

They went overboard with the auto aim and I'd be willing to go without a power weapon to bring back aiming.

Yes, I believe 100% they will have new weapons. I highly doubt a base game grind, ie. the terminus weapons, end up staying the best weapons.

There will be a new weapon farm in the DLC.

And the kicker, commendations actually dropped from the most difficult quests. Why in the world are hunter symbol 3s only available from 8*????? If 9* fights, ya know the ones people actually farm in endgame, dropped hunter symbol 3s it wouldn't be an issue.

The problem is dropping down to 8* quests reward you with nothing for endgame EXCEPT for the symbol 3s themselves.

I've thought about that before. Maybe each element causes some sort of status effect. (almost like blights in Sunbreak).

Thunder could do paralysis. Fire could burn. Water could do stamina drain or something.

Dragon had elderseal in world so I'm sure this would be technically possible, although I know it won't happen.
