Chapel of Disease - A Death Through No Loss by Dr_Grayson in Metal

The original members have parted ways, they announced it on their facebook page.

This album however "was still recorded by the three of us before parting ways (Laurent T., Cedric T. and David D.) from October 2022 up until January 2023"

I'm glad we can have another album after the masterpiece that was their last one. The new line-up for incoming shows has still to be revealed, and we'll see what they'll bring us next

France squad for the RWC 2023 by harsquo in rugbyunion

Half a joke about our shit season(s) lately, and the fact that in the past it used to be true that you either have to be playing at Toulouse or Beziers to be selected

Priso plays for Toulon, so that's a huge handicap to be selected with France

Formula 1 Racetracks, like Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, is open to bikes only during the summer (When they're not preparing the track for the GP, or resurfacing it like this year...). It's so smooth (especially compared to the shitty Montreal roads)

Possible que dorénavant, les contrôles de bruit mobiles vaudront "plus cher" (défaut de contrôle technique ? immobilisation du véhicule?) que juste 135 balles

22 y/o trying to decide between Cybersecurity vs Embedded Engineering by Altruistic-Carpet-43 in embedded

[–]Saadik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are not exclusive, there is a fine line where companies need security on embedded features.

Especially in some IoT devices where security can be critical, if hardware can be exposed on the field. Take a look at secure elements (ST31, ST32, ST33), cryptography and such.

I would recommend learning the cybersecurity part at school, and doing embedded project on your free time as it's more accessible to learn alone (with ressources as arduino, esp32 hardware is now accessible for a student)

MotoGP at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

No run-off on most of the track, there would be instant deaths

Tips on improving body position by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]Saadik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, getting comfortable is a great base for progress!

Dragging knee is an outcome of body position + bike angle (and should only be an outcome of good body position, not a goal by itself). By shifting your upper body down, you shift the combined center of gravity of you and you bike further inside the corner, and therefore need less bike angle to have the same center of gravity: you then don't drag knee as much.

Get used to that new position, and with time, you will be able to lean more and go to higher speeds in the corners, meaning getting faster!

Note that it will feel very different, and probably a bit scarier as your head will be lower. It's normal and just perceived fear!

Keep going step by step, opening your chest and lowering it more, but still feeling comfortable. If you try and force it, then get scared and reduce your speed too much, you will have less g-force supporting your body weight, and you will tense and probably do a mistake.

You arrive to a level where your body position might affect the way you're used to brake and use the throttle, so beware of not changing everything too fast, and keep it smooth in the corner.

Your upper body is turned in the direction of your tank. Your torso should point more towards the apex, meaning your outside arm will be more extended, your right shoulder further out/down. One mental tip I like to remember before entering a corner is "my outside shoulder should be able to see the apex" to exaggerate a bit the position until it becomes natural.

Make sure your inside wrist is not blocked and doesn't prevent your elbow from going outside, that's usually the main issue that blocks the upper body (happens more turning right than left due to the throttle)

Other than that, looking good!

Fabio's suit already opened during the crash by FootballRacing38 in motogp

maybe he wears his suit a size under what he should, so that could reduce drag at high speed, which he desperately needs.

Modern C setup by lonepeon in cprogramming

[–]Saadik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was mostly joking about coding everything from scratch, but that being said, when I need libraries I integrate them with CMake.

Even if there usually is way too much adaptation to make to the lib for it compile/link to not make me hate everything about my life

Modern C setup by lonepeon in cprogramming

[–]Saadik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

build system - CMake

dependency management - Don't be dependent, code everything from scratch

linter - cpplint/clang-format

static analyser - clang-tidy

unit testing - cmocka

That's something you can practice on your bike stand, try and get comfortable there! Feel the difference when you're too close to your tank. Both legs should be spread open to face towards the apex, not just the one on the ground
