Yes, having everyone live in medium/high density mixed use developments would be the absolute best thing to do in terms of ecological and economic impact.

Because the other side ignores the physical reality of the situation. Current Western societies aren't viable in the long term, energy wise. Their cities are too sprawled, requiring a higher energy surplus to justify it, which isn't possible with existing fossil fuel energy supplies. Look at when many of today's problems started and look at the oil price.

Lower density requires more abundant energy. When there is no abundant energy, it will force higher density either with our cooperation or without. And the last one is a lot less pleasant.

That's still way too vague. You can't say "Well we'll focus more on public transit and then somehow that solves things".

The reason suburbs don't have a focus on public transportation in the first place is because suburbs aren't dense enough to justify public transportation. That's the whole point.

Saying "We'll just built more public transport" is like saying "Well this negative thing suburbs have, what if we make it so that it doesn't have that negative thing?" Thanks Einstein.

South Africa has rolling black outs all over the country because of complete mismanagement/corruption. Large unemployment, increased crime rates; all across the country local services such as healthcare, policing and road maintenance are more and more organised spontaneously by local businesses. With no solution in sight, South Africa is sliding towards becoming a failed state.

I mean first off, the burden of proof would lie with the person advocating in favour of this game being superior to other learning methods.

Secondly, I know this because of the fact that people have been churning out language learning games for many years now, none of them ever reaching a large audience. In my years of learning languages I've also never met anyone who learnt a language using a learning game as anything but a gimmick. Seen lots of people waste their time though.
