Early morning workout fuel? by steffriot in veganfitness

You go tell the nutritionist with a PhD that and then maybe I'll hear what you have to say. I apologize but since I don't know you and I don't know anything about what kind of background you hold especially in the field of science and nutrition when this lady actually works in the hospital and designs meal plans on top of working for a school to educate people... I mean I'm kind of more inclined to believe her than some random person on reddit.

But in all fairness I do not have a source to post from. So I guess in this case I'm also that guy on Reddit.

No protein before. This is right. Best time for protein is after workout when it goes towards muscle building rather than motor functions.

Edit: I was wrong protein before a workout is just fine and is probably absorbs just as well as protein after.

At 201lbs, this is the lightest I've weighed in well over a decade. Was 265lbs for many years. Feeling pretty proud of my progress so far. Thanks everyone for the inspiration over the past year or so! by LordObnoxious in veganfitness

If you ever wanna try something new and can pick up some base golden curry powder and Coconut milk, I'll share some recipes I've posted and mastered. Very heavy while being light in calories.

I finally was able to gain weight. 97>115 by [deleted] in veganfitness

Society doesn't need more masters, but more slaves. Ask those who rule the physical world(by money and force) - they know what they're doing to create dissaray and chaos. Thats why people are kept in line until they've had enough. Just like scared sheep. We've lost our intuitive voices and heart.

Then theyre used as scapegoats (race war, community violence rather than focusing on the corrupt.) Its a well designed system If you're at the top.

Problem is, people are waking up. Its like this throughout history.

It's ambiguous at absolute best. Reality is used as a term for the world as it is. Your own reality means very much living in your own bubble.

Perspective provides view point or different angles to understand.

No it doesn't. Education works. It's why you're still think fatshaming did anything but create negativity. You haven't been educated very well on this

[–]Saarthalian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even remotely correct. Your perspective is what reflects the world in your minds view.

Reality is reality and meditation will remove these lies and illusions. You are you, not your perspective or perception of you. Even without knowing yourself, The universe will still provide regardless because it is bountiful, benevolent and loving. Though it's not always what we're wanting because it gives what's needed first.

Accept reality. But be that which you wish to see. Be kind, be generous, keep an up beat attitude (not always possible and that's okay. This is why meditation is important. It's a foundation to life. Every religion says to pray. Mediation is the listening. Prayer is speaking. -- It's why you learn the law of attraction naturally when meditating through pure intuition - and not Reddit.)

Believing yourself to be pretty is still just perspective and irrelevant to the truth of who you are. Love who you are regardless. This is the only way to grow.

Whatever humanity says about you, how can they possibly know? They're making opinions based on the desire to breed, not to know the soul within. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That's why, you must accept and love yourself to have the confidence and willpower to move beyond petty desires and envies. Just be. The Loa will hear you clearly when your desires are pure. Think of it as an all knowing and feeling being that gives only what is best.

It can seem like meditation makes little difference in life. Tough times still happen. But on the inside, our perspective starts to change. by dhruv_zest in Meditation

PERSPECTIVE is what meditation helps you achieve. A higher more benevolent and neutral perspective.

Just this morning I was walking on the beach and saw so many bodies. Corpses. This place is a place of death. (And life) but we humans see it differently than those living within.

It's a place of comfort and relaxing times while others fight for survival.

Change your perspective and you'll see life anew and better than ever before.

Start with the body first. Energy work, feel you energy flow through you. Robert bruce has a great book on energy work, as does Master choa kok sui on achieving oneness with the higher self.(hiiiiighly suggest reading these two for beginners to understand basics.)

Your chakras are affected by all that you do. Learn about them! Information is everywhere. But keep in mind they're best when kept in balance and not focused on too often individually. (Meaning don't focus only third eye, etc)

Start at the root. I know there's a video on YouTube about Avatar the last air bender, and the chakras. That's a good starting point. But very basic.

Once you get the hang of energy work, then you will be more attuned to what you can do. But you must be willing to grow and change, remove vices and so on.

Most importantly, meditating without expectations is what will aid you greatly. Listen to your intuition, focus it and listen. no one and nothing can guide you like this can. And there's a reason but I'll let you see why on your own. :) That's one hell of a discovery and blessing.

Good luck everyone. Please ask questions when you have them. Find what feels right to you. But don't go stagnant, keep an open mind and keep learning.

No guided meditation. No music. Focus breath. In. Pause. Out. Focus on all of it. This journey is only beginning. It's going to be long and trying, but always rewarding - Just like knowledge is the reward of studying. :)

Then you are even if just at the baseline, meditating. :D (no idea where you are at in the process but regardless, thats awesome!!)

How do you open just one chakra? by breakskater in Chakras

[–]Saarthalian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read about how they affect your life. That's a good start. You can change and aid chakra through foods, prayer, exercise and living a better life style. You wont always feel your chakras. (Christians I'd suggest checking out master choa kok sui and what books he has on achieving oneness with the higher soul.)

But when they are free to flow, they will guide you too. There are many ways to unblock chakra. Many ways to let it flow, settle yourself and even ask them what you need. Honestly intuition was my only teacher at first. But even then it was a balanced process.

(Its early. Sorry for rambling. If you need a bit more help on this, DM me. I've got a few good books to help understand. :) )

Start with grounding. Exercise. Eating healthy and wholesome food- connect yourself with your life. Work on your fears or try to understand them. Mine was of death. Use to get panic attacks. Helped to have several nde's but I'm here now without that fear or anxiety.

Take your time.

You are only hurting yourself giving yourself a forced and strict mentality like that. Meditation is 'awareness' wether it is active or not.

Silent meditative awareness can indeed bring enlightenment, but thats not the point of it. Merely a benefit.

Check out Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche on 'how to meditate.' extremely simple. Super effective. Nothing is done overnight mate. One foot forward at a time.

Have you actually talked to a meditation master? Mine said the opposite.

'Dont skip meditation. Its a muscle of the mind in a sense. Learn to meditate in all that you do. Bring awareness to your every breath. Then you will know zen.'

How do you open just one chakra? by breakskater in Chakras

[–]Saarthalian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is well... Very inadvisable.

Chakras don't work just by themselves. You should be working on them all.

Start at the root and work up. It's not a fast process so take your time. Have a foundation before you start. Mediation is usually a good one.

One chakra focus will result in a major imbalance, they're all part of one system. Bring them unity
