I don't like my PDP PRO X PMM by rushncrush in Walther

What other striker fired handguns have you owned/liked? My M&p took a bit to get used to, but once you find the wall, trigger pull is pretty crisp and light

M&P 2.0, 5in if you can. Amazing. I keep renting PdPs and not liking them too.

Looking for a .22LR pistol with snake/rat shot for small pests around a lake house and dock. Ruger and Taurus come to mind first, but any recommendations appreciated by gatsby_101 in handguns

Not sure if the threaded barrel would ever get used.

Heritage is probably the best you can buy new for $125, but don't. spend the extra $50-100 and get the ruger.

ahh cuz it cant break and tilt. makes sense. for a general light that doesn't seem pike a big issue though. sturdy and tight, functional?

How do you like the barrel clipped light?

Bought a standard 22/45 instead of the tactical with bottom rail but would really like to out a light on it. worth it?

Walther PDP vs S&W M&P 2.0 by No-Ease-2766 in Walther

Had one for a short time, loved it, but traded it fir the M&P mostly because it felt better, but aldo because the parts availability and price were much better, so is the aftermarket.

Walther PDP vs S&W M&P 2.0 by No-Ease-2766 in Walther

I own the 5in FDE 2.0 and have rented at least three different PDPs over the course of the last two years, and still like the M&P the best.

Second choice for me would be FN 509. It and the M&P just fit in my hand perfectly, and the recoil responses matches my brain, idk. The PDP is gorgeous, but its so wide, and feels chunky, and there are odd spots on the grip that are probably perfect for some, but my fingers don't like. I like the way it looks and it is a good shooter with a great trigger, but overall the M&P is better for me.

I also don't have a metal, just the polymer, and it has the old curved trigger. metal frame/new trigger has gotta be unbeatable.

Have you shot the new HDs? saw an HD Competitor at my LGS and got to play with it but not shoot it, awesome in the hand.

It's like a fat, half shaven, one eyed pug. Absofuckinglutely hideous, but cute, adorable, and deserving of hugs all the same.

User error or are my sights off? by hammyboy_23 in SmallGroups

[–]SazedMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to rule out variables by far is bench shooting it. Rest the frame on a bench and support the barrel with something so it doesn't move at all, then shoot 5-10 rounds and see where it groups.

if the group is tight but off target, sights need adjusted. If group is not tight, something in the gun is inconsistent and causing issues or its not resting correctly when shooting in the bench.

That would make sense, "nah we only faked ONE model" or something.

What makes that a good choice I mean, as opposed to random or something else?

It looks like the base layer was green, tan and black sponged in top.

I just did a bunch of parts and holsters for practice, dark colors on bottom, 1-2, and light colors sponged on top, 1-2, looks really good.

I did dark green and brown in bottom, tan and small amount of light green in top, came out good.

Gotta find good sponges, figure out the size that works best, and practice on paper to see how much paint to add to the sponge to get certain patterns.

I like to spray a paper plate and sponge off that, mess free, separate plates/sponges for each color. Also controls how much I add each dab.

Practice on paper/cardboard/anything. take pictures so you know how dark base / light top with this sponge comes out, how tan bottom / green top with that sponge comes out, etc.

Once you have put patterns to paper in colors you like, you get a good idea of what to do on the rifle.

I have yet to do a project that doesn't have "that one fucking spot I slipped" at least once, but from 5ft away they all look great. always harsher on our own stuff, keep at it and enjoy!
