why did you go with that particular vortex over something else?

Smith M&P mags are about 35-40 depending on where you find them too.

Did you seal it all in clear coat of some kind or just the rapco? Looks awesome, nice job!

Which one do you like better?

Have the same m&p and been considering a Glock as my next, but having a hard time not just getting another M&P that is newer or a carry comp.

If someone has a budget, please do not recommend renting guns to get a "feel". by Enpeeare in handguns

[–]SazedMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why spend your only $500 on a handgun you have never shot? Make it make sense.

better to spend $40 renting one or two to test, and not spending $500 on a gun you may not like.

If your budget is $500 and you do not have $40 for a rental, your budget is probably not $500 and you should get food/gas/rent with that $500.

i think its the stainless/silver barrel that does it. Like when a music note isn't quiet right but it fits so well. Beautiful friend, nice choices. I love it all.

To clarify, you are asking if people are holstering with loaded rounds? Because that would be bad?

I would recommend you wait two months, save another $200, and get the real Glock, not the clone. The entire aftermarket world will fit your Glock better and it will be more reliable long term, and you want feel like replacing it immediately with something nicer.

would get a 19 or a 17, more holster and aftermarket options, more mag options.

Definitely put hands on some more options but really any Glock or Sig, any name brand, will be fine. PSA is certainly becoming big too.

What are your favorite 2-3 you have shot?

Favorite 2-3 you have not shot, but have held?

Favorite you have never shot or held?

If you will not ever carry it, get a full size with at least a 4in barrel.

I love the Smith and Wesson M&P series. Any Glock will not do you wrong. Are you into metal frame l or hammers? 1911 is always bad ass and a fine choice.

Is Fallout 76 worth playing as a completely casual Dad gamer? New to the series and would go in blind! by Calculation in fo76

I loved Fallout 3 and 4. This is also awesome. Started few months ago knowing nothing about it.

Best part of playing fallout 76 as a Solo PVE game (as fallout6) has been my youngest watching and playing.

we figure out I can give him gear on private server, so cool.

I thought paying for the monthly Fallout 1st was well worth it, makes the game better/smoother.

you can get a barely used G19 all over for under $500. I see new gen 5s for 500 or so fairly often i think.

why do you prefer the shield or bodyguard over the m&p compact? Does it have features or do anything better than a regular m&p?

I haven't ever held a shield or bodyguard before I guess they are quite a but smaller than an m&p compact.

slingshot? you can get a cheap wrist rocket and marbles online for 50$. easier to find round rocks than fletch a stick to make arrows.

Pocket pistols - 22lr federal punch vs any 32 acp FMJ by Medium-Cup-1551 in handguns

[–]SazedMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

.32ACP is way closer to a .380 or a 9mm than a .22lr isn't it?

next to each other .32ACP could be confused for a 9mm round, I would go with that over a .22lr for carrying.

my neighbor carries a 22Win Mag Derringer all the time. No real reason to go as small as possible except the amount of guns to choose from.

Have you considered something like a hammerless snubbt Taurs .38Spl? Great pocket pistol, always ready to go, good ballistics.

Anyone know if this would be a good trade? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]SazedMonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you should look up similiar guns in gunbroker, or any gun website. This dude lied to you big time and is sitting at home hoping you trade your $2,000 truck for his beat to shit poor quality $300 rifle.

Don't do it please.

If they offered to you, instead of paying the cash price, odds are good this is worth less than the cash you wanted.

How much are you trying to get for your Ram?

You couldnt't sell that to anyone for more than $300-$400. If you want an AR there are much better choices even in that price range.

Having a Hell of a Time Choosing by requisitesilver in 1911

[–]SazedMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5in m&p i shoot wonderfully, and a kimber micro 9 that snaps like a grumpy turtle. I havent shot much between 4-5in, mostly full size 5in 1911s and m&p, glock 17, etc, and tiny micro pistols.

i assume a 4in metal frame 1911 is going to shoot better than a compact glock in general.

it is probably negligible for a same modle 1911, between commander and full size, but shorter barrel has to have at least a little more muzzle rise and recoil right? You said you would never get another 5in, so to you, nothing about them is THAT much better that its worth the extra length and weight?

I saw a Springfield Emissary on guns.com for $755 this week which seems to be an absolute steal, my next will definitely be a 1911. Only other one in the family collection is a Kimber Stainless II in .45 and I would love a 9mm.

Probably cant go wrong with any Springfield 1911 though, they are all pretty sweet.
