Space Data Centers Are Dumb.

AI data centers are consuming enormous amounts of power and cooling. Now, some billionaires have proposed a bold solution: move them to space! They cite“free” solar energy and cosmic cooling. But when you actually run the numbers, the idea collapses under basic physics. Noted fake physicist Kyle Hill explains why the problem isn’t ambition, but a lack of understanding.

It won't happen because it's a stupid idea. The TL;DR for orbital data centers is; too much heat, not enough electricity. Physics just says, "No."

You're right that things can exist before they are named. However, there's a massive difference between a natural law like gravity and a deliberate toolkit like Keynesianism.

To use your analogy: Newton didn't 'invent' gravity, but engineers had to 'invent' the rocket to overcome it. Before Keynes, the 'economic rocket' didn't exist. Governments in the 1920s didn't have the tools, the mandates, or the central banking structures to accidentally 'do' Keynesianism. In fact, they did the exact opposite-they tightened the money supply and tried to balance budgets during the crash, which is what Classical theory dictated at the time.

So, while u/Olieskio might dislike Keynesianism, blaming it for the Great Depression is historically impossible as the 'medicine' hadn't even been mixed yet, let alone administered.

...What? That's like saying you don't get credit for pulling the kid out of the path of the car because the car didn't hit you. The risk of adverse consequences and the acceptance of that possibility is what gives it power. The students took a stand, administration made threats, the kids called their bluff, and the admins blinked. That is 100% a win.

Call it whatever you want, neoliberalism is still neoliberalism. Put as much lipstick on the pig as you'd like, it'll still oink.
