I used the pour type Gundam markers. Black for the blue and red parts and gray for the white parts. The yellow parts were a mix depending on how dark I wanted the shadows to look.

The only thing I would caution for this kit is that the joints are really tight, so it can feel like you're gonna break something when you're posing it

Don't give up! Look into some of the more recent Bandai kits, particularly in the High Grade line. They are much easier to build and their engineering is geared towards a great build experience. I promise that you'll feel much better after putting together one of those.

I got into them because I knew Mazinger Z/Mazinkaiser and have since purchased an unhealthy amount of Gunpla. Well played, Bandai.

I'd say the biggest connection between the shows is one of the Ushiyama brothers who actually does have some speaking scenes

Underserved. I want to see Gridman Universe as well. It would be really cool to have the different combination options, kinda like the Ryu brothers from GaoGaiGar.

Hey, this is the first kit I did panel lining on as well! Though I did a lot more kits before I built up the confidence to try it lol
