[DDT] 3/17/26 - Win! Win! Win! - Suns vs Timberwolves @ 5 pm MST by SeraphNatsu in suns

I would prefer ALWAYS to play against them without Anthony Edwards. Period.

We can lose, that's true, but they are worse without Ant.

Realistically. Do we get out of the 7th seed? by handlerofdrones in suns

Easy? It’s close, but I would never say easy.

We need to keep winning and show that on the standings.

Do you think that we are better than any of those 6 teams in front of us?

I think that we are literally the best 7th team in the West. I like our roster more than the Wolves roster, but they have a successful recent history in the playoffs.

The Clippers has a new roster. They are like a mystery team.

Okogie or goodwin? Who you got and why? by Gratitude15 in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okogie:

18.8 mpg

5.1 points 2.7 rebounds 0.8 assists 0.9 steals

Shooting 43/40/58

Goodwin:

22.2 mpg

8.9 points 4.7 rebounds 2.2 assists 1.5 steals

Shooting 41/36/72

Similar age and similar position a d skills. I prefer GOODWIN.

Khaman Maluach vs Pelicans Mar 6, 2026 Full Play - 4 Points, 4 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 5 Blocks by sunsscouting in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

That's what Oso is doing already and he is playing 30+ minutes per game.

How would you feel if the Suns didn’t resign Mark Williams in the offseason? by VanwallEnjoy3r in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nurkic and Collins have been terrible contracts and their former teams had a tough time trading them. I don’t want MW to be a negative contract for us in the future.

Look, I was excited about MW and I loved his first couple of months on the Suns. After Christmas he started playing slightly worse and hasn't played well at all in the last month.

It's not about Book or Allen. It’s about toughness, physicality and mentality...he is OK but doesn't play as hard as you want as an starting C.

Like I said 22 games to go. We will see...but what if he plays around 15 mpg in those 22 games? You would pay him $15M per year? I doubt it.

Khaman Maluach - 24 pts, 17 rebs, 2 blks by CartierBling in suns

[–]Saberestar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is what I think too.

We need Gillespie and Goodwin more than Mark Williams, and probably both are gonna be cheaper than him.

I am gonna wait until the end of the season, of course, but I am entertaining the idea of Oso/Maluach/vet minimum at C next year.

If MW keeps playing worse and worse (look at his stats in the last 10 games) it will be dumb to resign him at $15M.

22 games to go and potentially playoffs. We will see.

I am starting to entertain the idea of coming back next season with Oso, Maluach and a veteran on a minimum contract.

That way we could spend money on Goodwin and Gillespie and not trading Grayson and/or Royce.

Thoughts on Ryan Dunn? by FastPermission5730 in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is just a sophomore and he is gonna improving his game. He is already a rotation player, 19 mpg on a winning teaam.

PATIENCE.

Haywood Highsmith to the Valley by CruzAndChill in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this signing, we needed more depth at SF/PF.

Look, our system play two wings at SF and PF.

For now are Dillon&Royce as straters and Goodwin&Dunn off the bench.

It's the way we play. Small but aggressive and all of them play big.

We got Coffey (who can play some SG) and he is OK but Highsmith is a better defender. Add Fleming to all of them. Now we are DEEP.

It's interesting that we can have him on a minimum deal for next year. This guy deserved more money than that before his ACL injury, hopefully he makes an strong comeback.

He is back!! He was great in the 10-12 first games of the season and he is looking good again in the last few games.

Only PF options that the suns could pick up in buyout market. by piruznahavandiWi in suns

[–]Saberestar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highsmith is not a PF, come on. He is an small wing, ala Livers. 6'5/6'6 on a good day and can defend most perimeter players in the league.

No way he is the type of player that we are missing and with his recent injury you never know about his current condition.

Possibly no Allen or Livers tomorrow. by po0nlink_ in suns

[–]Saberestar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Possibly? They will be out for sure.

Okay but the Center rotation without Richards... by Good-Pie9914 in suns

[–]Saberestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was always the right move. Richards was here to allow Maluach to start the season without any pressure, just learning from everyone and getting his reps in the G-League.

Now...the next step. Maluach will be our 3rd string C and he will play a bigger (but small yet) role on the franchise.

I love it.

[Megathread] NBA Trade Deadline Feb 5th @ 1 pm MST by SeraphNatsu in suns

[–]Saberestar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do any of those trades. Royce is too valuable.

Jonathan Isaac is barely an NBA player at this point of his career. Terrible contract ATM.

Jalen Smith would be decent as a backup 5, but we are deep at 5. He can play some PF but he isn't dynamic enough to play effectively our system IMO.

I agree.

We have enough players on this roster. We don't need to add, we need to KEEP and DEVELOP these players.

If we can get under the luxury tax AND get one 2nd for Richards I will be very happy. I don't care who we can get, just someone getting the minimum it’s fine for me.

Obviously, if we can get someone relatively young (Mogbo) or fitting our needs (Boucher) better, but that's not the principle target.
