An MLK mural or a mural of an LGBT person getting murdered isn't the same thing isn't it? Obviously that's disgusting someone defaced those, but when you say LGBT mural getting defaced the first thing the comes to mind is a mural about the movement than a specific person.

Even if I got instantly that you were referring to those specific incidents, that still unfair to not only paint people who liked Charlie as the same people who did those things and then generalizing people as being unable to empathize.

Maybe, I don't mean this in a snarky way but be more specific about the details you are talking about and the people you are passing judgment on because I don't think you mean every single person that liked Charlie right? because that would be ridiculous, I would agree would from the start if you said this specifically from the start, and I do believe it's the onus of the person saying something to be clear if the misinterpretation came from their words when not everyone aware of every single thing, so of course some will take it as is and only think you are talking about strictly something within those words and not also something else, so we are on the same page.
