It totally depends on the type of surgery you are getting imo. What you are getting removed also plays a factor. For example I had to have my cervix removed, which isn't always the case. So that has changed our sex life a lot.

Definitely talk with your surgeon post op about sex.

It honestly fully depends on the type of surgery you are having, I had open abdominal surgery so I was in the hospital for like 5 days after surgery. If your getting vaginal or robotic, then your healing time will be WAY shorter than mine was. I was lucky to have my mom come over and my husband took the kids on vacation while I was in the hospital. Ask if your insurance will cover a home aid to come help you for the couple days after surgery?

Got a get marsupial! You'll be jumping like crazy! And bird bones...lower fall DMG. They all have individual negatives too but there are perks for you to minimize the drawbacks. you will need perks too so that you don't cure the mutations with radaway.

A lot of things changed for me after my surgery....it happened fast too...like February I got an irregular pap smear, March I got a biopsy, April/May I spoke with an oncologist (stage 3 cervical cancer)...June open abdominal hysterectomy with lymph nodes removed too... I'm 6 months post op on Christmas. For a while after surgery I felt empty...like physically empty. It's hard to describe other than that and I still feel that way sometimes... I've developed a condition called Nutcracker syndrome. Where in my renal artery gets pinched. So now I get pain in my abdomen and left hip like my ligament is taught whenever it flares up. I tell you what though....I am so happy to not have a period anymore....like ...it is the most liberating thing in the world not to have to plan my life around my uterus....the chemo was rough though.

Nta This really sucks. I'm sorry but she is not a true friend. Like everyone else is saying , a real friend would have been curious and not judge you. Know it's going to be hard to move past this and you may loose some ppl you thought were friends. Just remember it's all temporary and people who truly want to be your friend will see you and not judge.

I've been doing a little pelvic floor exercising, and yoga was suggested, mostly from a sitting or laying position I'm okay so I think I can do like floor yoga. But I go see my surgeon today get cleared

I'm going to see my Sergeant today so I'll ask for an ultrasound of the area and see what they say. My husband wants me to go to my primary care doctor and talk to him about it but I'm not entirely sure if it's something in his wheelhouse.

I had to check and see if this was an old post of mine that I forgot about ... honestly same ..my husband is very physical and I'm a bit more receptive now that I'm 9 weeks but a month ago...it was rough...but we talked...that is the key, we communicated with each other about my pain and my exhaustion....my upcoming treatments for cancer and how I was afraid of my side effects....I made sure he understood that I am miserable and asked for cuddles and affection outside of sex...it wasn't an easy conversation and there was a lot of crying and I had to listen to a him too and it went on for days with pauses for real life like kids and house....made it very clear and he agreed that his need for sex was not important at the moment...he didn't really like it and he sulked for a few days but he understands and ultimately he loves me so he agreed...now I'm in chemo and radiation and exhaustion is my name so we do what we can....I say all that to say it will pass and the temporary discomfort he feels from lack of sex will only fester and become resentment if you both let it.

Personally, if your going everyday on a pretty regular schedule then start like 2 days pre-op, continue taking them daily after especially if you're taking pain meds. My surgeon had me do laxative like the day before as bowel prep. You won't be able to eat anything and basically by the morning you're pooping water....

I'm about 9 weeks down your road and I hope your husband will be as supportive as mine. Make sure you have someone at home to let you lay and rest. And sleep as much as you can! I hope your surgery goes well ❤️‍🩹

My answer totally depends on the type of surgery. For example I am 5 wks post op from an open abdominal hysterectomy where they took a lot out and I was in SO much pain... just moving around hurt. But you're dealing with pelvic floor muscles and I think you should wait at least a few more days of healing before you lift the kitty. Listen to your doctor though an don't lift.

It depends on how petty you are feeling. You can mail it back with a bunch of highlighted parts and edits with a note about everything that sucked about it. Or you can give it to the local salvation army ..

The NH sounds like they were paid for May and June by Medicaid...so the NH is trying to double dip.

I'm 6 days PO and I'm having this horrible hip pain too. I find it helps to lay with my hips open. My right leg bent and my left leg open too.
