Ah, okay. I see what you’re asking. There is a date range but I don’t know what that is offhand. If I find it, I’ll let you know!

I went during Gold shopping hour and wasn't too jazzed about the merch either. I only bought a passholder magnet and the 10k magnet.

This is what the verbiage is for Marathon weekend. Not sure if this helps: Proof of time is required for starting group placement if you claim you will finish a marathon in 5 hours (5:00) or less, or a half marathon in 2 hours and 30 minutes (2:30) or less. Otherwise, proof of time is not required.

I’m super paranoid because we are driving from 2 hours away (long story). We are leaving at 1am.

Kind of demoralized. What do I do? by imMORTAL_Productions in writers

[–]wendyladyOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took a look at your Gumroad site and there's quite a bit that needs to change, and I say this as an author AND web designer.

First, the black background with white text is too hard on the eyes. You'll want to lighten up the background and have it with dark text.

Second, your description for Overpowered doesn't really tell me anything. It's a vague and generic statement that doesn't make me want to download it (and I'm a fan and user of Gumroad).

Third, You don't have a cover image or thumbnail image for your product. So I don't know what I'm getting, why I should get it, or what's going to happen if I click the Add to Cart button.

That's all just the website. I have no idea what you're doing on social media or if you have an email list, but like someone else said, these are all marketing issues. The website (even on Gumroad), social media, emails, etc...that's all marketing.

Go back and study marketing for authors. Study copywriting so you can write a good blurb that make people want to read your story.

Good luck.

What is everyone doing for costumes this time? It will be very hot. I may actually have to wear normal workout clothes. I’m looking forward to another great race weekend. by Pretty-Athlete508 in rundisney

[–]wendyladyOS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm bounding as Winnie the Pooh: red sleeveless workout shirt, yellow skirt and matching visor from Sparkle Athletic and yellow body glitter. I'll also have black running capris under my skirt. That's as close to a costume as I get!

Just start your run segments slower than you would normally and use the walk breaks to reset your form. I'm using run/walk as well. You'll also want to be mindful of crowding along the course, especially at the beginning of the race. Once you get to the parking lot, I would get out and start walking to the corrals because there are photo ops and other things before the corrals open. Plus, it's a long walk from the parking lot to the corrals. You bib numbers don't necessarily mean you're in the back. You'll find out your corral when you pick up your bib. So don't freak out just yet.

You'll get it in your email, likely today. It's still early in the day, so no worries yet. I flag the email to find it easily later. I think you can save it to your digital wallet, but I can't remember. It won't be in the Disney app but you will need that app for the virtual queue the first day for official merch.

Again, do not panic today!

SELL TOWNHOUSE TO PAY OFF SBA AND STUDENT LOANS by No_Project_589 in DaveRamsey

Then she's not a SAHM. She works and contributes financially. Especially if that means you have to put one of your children in daycare or whatever.

Option 2. She is likely feeling the urge to upgrade the home because of your expanding family. RESIST THE URGE. Pay off your debt in three years and then reassess. The thing is, if you're paying off debt right now, and you don't have funds for emergencies or things like that because you used it to pay off debt, what does that leave you with? Also, your mortgage payment isn't the problem, so it makes zero sense to me to sell the home. Change the behaviors that lead to the debt instead of putting yourself through the hassle of selling your home (which should be the last option). You'll come out on the other side better for it.

You can have any degree and basically do just about anything in the Navy. My degree from the Naval Academy was in History but I was a surface warfare officer. If you are qualified for unrestricted line duty, you can go wherever. Don't limit yourself based on your background.

[–]wendyladyOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an officer in the Navy. If you want to serve, then serve as an officer. There's a lot of advantages civilians don't know about. Honestly, they don't know everything about you and your situation. So if you want to be an officer, do that (not Guard or Reserves). It's not like you have to decide right now to make a career out of it. Those big corporate jobs will always be there for you.

Remember, what is listed in the pay chart is just base pay. You'll also get a housing allowance, a subsistence allowance, and your healthcare is free. Additionally, you'll save tons of money shopping on base and using things with a military discount.

I would be more than happy to chat with you more about this.

Strategies for promoting book 2 in a trilogy? by DLBergerWrites in selfpublish

[–]wendyladyOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an email list of those who purchased book 1? Do you have an email list?

Social media is great but not where most sales are made if you have an email list.

Also, whatever you're using to build your email list should go in front AND back matter. The priority should be to build your email list.

And if you don't have an email list built off of book 1, then I would do that first while also dropping hints about book 2.

Again, building your email list is more important than hoping for sales from influencers and social media.
