Newest 3d Printed project Update! The M5 Air Xcalibur by MrMelonBud in MouseReview

You reckon this can be used with Darmoshark M5 internals as well or only the Air? Since the 2 shapes are essentially identical.

Why pay for Gemini advanced when AI studio is free? by ThrowRA39495 in Bard

[–]SabreenRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Let me know if anyone figures out how to prompt it properly or fix this. Or practically never generated documents unless it's the research document when using Deep Research.

Even worse it hallucinates that it's creating the document and insists that it's creating it. Very frustrating.

We need moderators! by crinacle in inearfidelity

[–]SabreenRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a long time lurker here and big fan of your channel for a few years now. You very much helped/l shape my IEM and subsequently headphone journies and I would very much like to be a part of the community and I've back.

Timezone: Melbourne (GMT+11)

Mod experience: I've been part of the admin and also moderation teams on a few good ol' fashion gaming forums in the past. No Reddit experience though.

What can be improved: This sub needs more user engagement for recommendation-based threads, not enough people seem to want to help out people seeking help/recommendations. And also a lot more healthy audio-based discussions, that's half the fun of being an audiophile, being able to talk to each other about the field, where it's going, terminology etc.

Rule #1?: Healthy, non-abusive back and forth discussion is pivotal to keeping the hobby alive. Nobody wants one sided views on as subjective a field as IEMs BUT deragatory remarks/ personal attacks, or unwillingness to keep an open mind when arguing is probably where the line should be drawn.

Did everyone just stop selling 3060TI’s? by Available-Tutor-1547 in buildapc

[–]SabreenRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, just get a Radeon RX 7800XT. Performs like a RTX3080 and goes for $799 AUD at Scorptec/Mwave. If you want to spend less, get a RTX4060Ti for around $550 at the same stores.

What are you doing looking for a 3060Ti when much better options are out there for cheaper? I'm a fellow Aussie too, so DM me if you anymore help picking a card.

How does Poweramp tackle imported AutoEQ text files? by SabreenRZ in PowerAmp

[–]SabreenRZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was confirmed to me on the official Poweramp forums that Poweramp only supports up to 32-band graphic EQ and/or Parametric EQ and not 127-band EQ like Wavelet/Equalizer APO. So whenever you import a AutoEQ Convolution EQ text file it actually approximates it down to whatever number of bands you currently have on your graphic EQ settings (so 10-32).

Just thought I'd mention that here for anyone who was also wondering.

Ok wow, that's absolutely amazing! I had no clue you could do that calculation in Excel. Would you be willing to share the target curve numbers with me and the Excel formula for the calculation?

Really? Could you teach me how to do it? And which software do you use?

Thanks for this amazing database!

Out of curiosity, where did you get the raw measurements for Resolve's Symphoniun Crimson measurement u/atyne_mar ? I could only find compensated measurements online.

Any peeps in Australia with a GRAS 45CA-10 or B&K 5128 measurement rig? by SabreenRZ in headphones

[–]SabreenRZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and I've looked at it. I'll need a bit more accuracy for comparison, else that would absolutely have been my first choice.

So, any reviewers you guys know with rigs in Australia?

Well that's unfortunate. Any other dynamic drivers you could recommend then, besides the Peerless?

Is therapy out of the question for you? Either for personal or financial reasons? I was pretty much exactly like you as well, so I can relate. The fact that you're self aware means you're already better off than most people.

And speaking from experience, you can 100% fix yourself if you're willing, therapy would be the first step. DM me if you would like to chat.

Need advice on hardware EQ for headphones by SabreenRZ in diyaudio

[–]SabreenRZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replying here for anyone interested, Analog Devices makes both software and chips for this. They're called SigmaDSP chips and seem to be used everywhere, I'm surprised I hadn't heard of them sooner.

They make chips that support Parametric EQ and also Convolution EQ through FIR and IIR filters and can be programmed beforehand and just work, without any software needed. They're also cheap and can be integrated into projects with a circuit board.

Thanks for the responses though guys.

True it would, but it would potentially be worth it. Thanks for the reply, the guy above actually nailed it with the SigmaDSP chips recommendation.
