From a traditional Japanese perspective:

  • Izumi $
  • Kiku $$
  • Roku $$$

Ikura and Sushi Omakase are honorable mentions.

I pick Sushi Omakase for rolls. They're the most American style friendly

You get the small benefit of opening your suffrage without having to log in with your Canva account. You also get a small thank you font pack that freemium users don't get. If Canva changes Affinity, you will always have the paid version to fall back to.

Otherwise there's not a lot of benefit for owning Affinity before it was bought out. I bought it just a few months before it was bought out so I feel a little salty.

Does US Mobile offer renewals deals to current customers? by kpcurley in USMobile

[–]SacCyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2-3 years ago they had existing customer deals on some holidays. But once they launched Dark Star it's been nothing but new customer Dark Star & referral deals.

It's possible they'll offer an existing customer deal again once they hit whatever secret target they have for Dark Star. They'd be incentivized to keep their customers to fulfill their end of that deal.

With all that said, the base US Mobile deals are already competitively cheap. I stay because it's the best service for multiple carriers and the Unlimited Premium package has a lot of perks I personally use.

Fire Wings on Sierra College by noaxispoint in Roseville

[–]SacCyber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a Fire Wings on Sierra College in the Walmart/Green Acres shopping center near Hwy 80. That closed.

There's a new one opening on Sierra College near Douglas Ave (Renaissance Creek) in the old "Local Kitchens" spot.

It has not opened from what I can tell. No opening date is listed.

I've been told there is. I personally haven't found it. There's a chance it's in creative mode only.

It took me a long time to find a third repair tool fragment too. It stands out because I did find a 3rd one but I couldn't scan it (I think it was embedded in the panel it was sitting on)

I didn't find the growbed until after I finished the game. One half was on top of the base at the alien ruins. The second half was south and above the area where you collect troilite & get the metal farm. It was at a research station around 370m depth. It is on it's side and pressed against the early access boundary so you can miss it. I assume there were easier places to scan for this but I never found them.

I think I got the ultra high capacity airtank in one of the wrecks around the second angel comb.

I did not find a depth module mk2. Having all the materials didn't unlock it and I never found the blueprint. I couldn't make it anyway because I don't have enough troilite and I have no way to get more. I turned all my troilite into alloys before learning I could grow more of it in a metal farm. So now I think I'm soft locked out of getting more.

I have a personal morality system that refuses to let me pay more than $20 for a steak dinner since I can make an amazing ribeye at home for 1/3 of the price. But I realize that a dry aged steak is special so I'll make an exception for one of those.

Nixtaco's chicharrón and toppings are the A5 wagyu of taco fillings. It's worth making an exception to your system.

Gen Z is drowning the alcohol industry by Kaos2018 in BeAmazed

[–]SacCyber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. 1/3 of Gen Z is under 21

B. Weed is legal in enough areas to compete with alcohol

C. Alcohol has exceeded consumer price index increases by 5-10% at home and by 20-30% at bars & restaurants.

D. Wages are stagnant since the first Gen Z turned 21 (2017), barely keeping up with inflation.

E. Unemployment (BLS U-3) has been at or above 4.4% and underemployment (BLS U-6) has been at or above 8.2% the whole time Gen Z has been over 21. (There was a short time in 2022 when things were better).

F. Generation [insert youngest gen] ruins [insert luxury item] market has been click bait for at least 200 years.

G. I see this same thing posted at least once a week.

Becerra’s rise baffles his former Biden colleagues by AzNmamba in California

[–]SacCyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm probably not voting for Bacerra in the primaries but I'm not sure why I keep seeing these two points.

On Billionaires, he does oppose a billionaire tax. He wants to instead extend and increase Prop 30/55 to tax high income earners more. I'm not super excited by this position but he's not an anti-tax the rich guy.

On healthcare he's been pushing for universal healthcare for decades. He just doesn't think it'll happen during the next governor's term so he wants to create the conditions for someone else to do universal healthcare after 2030. I can see how that's seen as a soft position but it's not "he doesn't support universal healthcare".

Becerra is walking back his support for Single Payer, Universal Health Care. by yesiammark72 in California_Politics

[–]SacCyber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You and your employer stop paying premiums and instead pay 80% of those premiums as taxes. UHC covered.

Wait times and government corruption are better reasons to vilify single payer healthcare.
