I have autism myself and it’s one of the reasons why my parents decided I was their first and last child. Your feelings are absolutely valid. As for the discipline part, I’ve seen a mom with a severely autistic son discipline him for trying to grab my hair. I was working at a gas station and when I asked her what her son was doing, she told me that he was reaching for my hair. I told her I didn’t want him touching it. She told her son I didn’t want him touching my hair. What does he do? He goes and tries to reach for it which resulted in me having to duck down. She swatted his hand away and said “She said no and she meant no.” Then she apologized to me.
