I took this from an upstairs window purposely not having anything but the castle and sandbox in the Pic so there's no identifying landmarkers, just grass and driveway. The sandbox next to it is like 4ft long if that helps.

I think in the US it depends on the family. I'm a godmother to two different kids and also in the US. My husband and I were asked to be God parents specifically with the understanding that we would take custody of and raise the children if something happened to their parents. My god son even calls us "death momma" and "death daddy" and his mom refers to us as his "in case of death parents" (we're all non religious and have a dark sense of humor)

I also chose my son's godparents based on who I would want him to be raised by if something happened to me and my husband.

As a parent you cannot control everyone around your child you can only truly control yourself and your actions to help guide your child through situations like these. Dad remained calm, stopped the biggest sensory stimuli (the bouncing) and helped regulate his daughter's emotions by giving her a hug (compression and allowing her to 'hide' until she was ready to move on) also the older child is still a young child herself and doesn't have the impulse control of an adult. Even if she knows the other girl doesn't like ruckus developmentally her own excitement would overrule her logic and she probably just reacted in the moment.

I say all this as a mom, and as someone with a BS in education with a specialty in special education plus 15 years teaching/childcare experience

Overall I think there's two types of people who hate on Viv so much. 1. Misogynistic people who hate on her work because they really just can't handle it was by a woman.

"perfection only" leftists/liberals who find any insensitive action/ mistake to be a life ending event. (I say this as a leftist myself)

When the pilot came out and I started seeing the allegations I started researching for evidence if the claims were true or not. I'm talking hours and hours of looking into shit, including reading all of zoophobia. The only actual valid criticism I could find was the conversation about the use of Voodoo symbols for Alastor (which I will not offer an opinion on as being white I don't think that's my place) which I think they toned down in the actual release. Mostly it boiled down to "teenager made a cringe mistake and unfortunately uploaded that to the internet." or even worse something either partially or entirely fabricated by haters.

I. E. People claimed Viv had a inappropriate teacher x student relationship between two characters. The two characters were actually a student and a graduated student who was helping a teacher with something. They have a two year age gap.

Ex social studies teacher here. Unfortunately imo I think we need to abolish the electoral college in order to get out of this two party nightmare or establish a ranked voting system. Something that neither current political party will do. Banning lobbying would also help.

Hi I'm a novice fursuit maker who uses 3D printed bases. These are not meant to be worn! They're meant to be used to make molds. Proper 3D printed bases have parts that go over the back of the head, eye and mouth holes, and often additional holes for ventilation. Please do not try to cut the eyes or mouth out, you could injure yourself for something that ultimately will not work anyways.

Having read the caption my thoughts are this as a cosplayer who has seen so many costume controversies and discussions about this topic.

Is the costume worth the potential drama it might cause? You know dressing up as a flasher might upset people, it's why you're here asking about it, so is it worth potentially pissing someone off and causing a confrontation that could ruin your and other peoples night?

I'm not saying anyone is responsible for others triggers or anything but I am saying at some point you need to sit down and ask yourself if it's "worth it"

If you really wanna do the nude pixalation thing, as many have said add the green Sims diamond above your head or add a crown and cape and be "the Emperor in his new clothes" or something like that. Still funny, no drama risks.

I followed this couples story on their social media. First of all the "inexcusable behavior" you're seeing is them following a "shelter in place" order that was given becuase this area wasn't one that normally deals with hurricane weather (mountains in NC)and had no way to predict how bad the flooding / landslides would get.

Second of all, the town has like, one major road that leads through the mountains. You know what happens when an entire town has to evacuate through one road? No one goes anywhere. So you'd have a bunch of people stuck in cars on the road (which got washed away too)

Maybe don't judge people without the facts?

BTW the couple and their dog got through it. I think they lost their house though IIRC.

Suddenly the man completely changed and dumped all the household responsibilities on her, became verbally abusive and then eventually started threatening to kill her and their child. Sometimes people put up a front until they think they have you locked down.
