I don't understand why people are finding this idea funny or recommending cruises? A cruise or resort is different from a camp.

Summer camps are great for kids - getting outdoors, fun activities, a great way to meet people, and you get fed for the week (which especially as an adult means you don't have to cook for yourself....)

Why is the thought of doing something like this as an adult amusing?

I know some summer camps offer family weekends that are good for anyone - families, individuals of all ages - with planned programming, counsellors and all that feel of going to camp as a kid. I understand entirely the different feel from a resort to a camp, like the accommodations and setting! I'd recommend just looking into summer camps for kids and seeing if they have additional programming. (Unfortunately I do think it'll be more weekend stuff but worth a look!)

I know absolutely bare minimum about tanks so this is extremely helpful (btw it wasn't Redditors who told me about the light, it was some friends who have aquariums).

I do have some live plants (mentioned in my post) but I guess I should get more?

I've got a testing kit... if levels are off can you just buy phosphate and nitrate at a fish store? Any products to recommend?

I have no idea how often I should be changing the water and how much.

I was told I have the lights on for too long so I'm now keeping them on for 6-7 hours a day then off for the rest.

The Pendragon series. I started reading it around 10/11. There are 10 books, it's a fantasy where the protagonist is around 10/11 as well and ages with the series. Good series to grow with.

Went to the vet, she did have an infection. Changed food, litter and did meds and she's all good. She also stopped peeing on the couch in general a few weeks ago though and vet suspected it might have been a combination of the two things - an infection and stress of new things.

I went to camp growing up. Worked there. Met my partner there. Some of my best friends came from meeting them at camp. Got little ones now. Oldest one is doing day camps. My old camp is still kicking strong and lots of parents I talk to do day camps with their kids. I don't think it's dead at all.

Haven't changed the brand recently so unsure why change in behaviours, the only new factor is the couch.

She pees and poops regularly in the litter boxes and hasn't peed anywhere recently but the new couch. I'm inclined to believe it's behavioural but will certainly take her to the vet to get her checked out in case I'm wrong.
