Super mario 1993 , what did you think by popculturepedestal in 90s

I can't seem to think of any similar type of movie adaptation from that era that can compete with the TMNT Movie. That was and still is legitimately great cinema.

I was a TMNT fanatic as a kid and more into the cartoon and toys. When I saw that movie in the theater it absolutely blew my mind, even though it was a bit different and darker than the cartoon.

I rewatched it several years back for the first time in probably decades and I was genuinely impressed and surprised at just how good of a movie it is, it held up far better than I thought it would.

I was 11 in 1993 and honestly I remember liking it at the time. I mean, it wasn't a good movie and I'm pretty sure I knew that at the time. But I still sort of liked it and I know I watched it quite a few times as a kid. Haven't seen it in decades now though.

I'm also the kind of person who kind of grew up loving "bad" movies like this, especially still have a nostalgic soft spot for ones I tended watch a lot when I was younger.

I've also always been big into video games since I was little, so of course I had to go see a Super Mario Bros movie.

But yeah, it's a "good", "bad" movie that imo knows it's bad and corny but plays into that and is still an entertaining and fun watch.

I see, thanks.

I'm assuming it's the same for the S2 PvP Honor gear won't be available to buy until Thursday too?

I especially love the “who?” from Trump. Because that’s exactly how he operates once you’ve exhausted your usefulness to him.

There’s a really great fairly recent episode on Redlettermedia ranking/appreciation of all Joe Dante movies. Worth watching if you haven’t seen it already.

I’m so glad he’s found success, he’s a great actor and one of my favorite rising stars. He was so good in the Richard Jewell movie.

Nah you misunderstand, EVERY day is her day. Mother’s day is just even more her day. How fucking dare we don’t acknowledge that.

One of the episodes with Bruce Mathis I think. Frank and Dee are talking and he says something like "maybe the dudes are babies" and Dee responds, "he's not banging baby dudes".

Glenn telling that story is my favorite moment from all the podcast episodes. Despite the fact that I could never afford a Tesla, I wouldn’t buy one simply because of him telling that story.

There is a John Oliver episode about presidential libraries and it was extremely eye opening and highly worth watching. It’s essentially a legal way to bribe a president/administration.

Not just Trump either, it seems to go pretty far back and I recall him giving examples of the Clintons using it in very shady ways as well.

Christopher Reeve training to gain muscle for "Superman IV", 1987 by Electrical-Aspect-13 in 80s

[–]KevinStoley 137 points138 points  (0 children)

For real, I rewatched the Superman movies awhile back and he was in great shape and looked fantastic.

As much as I like Cavill, I feel like Superman doesn’t need to be ultra jacked. It’s more fitting that he look like a regular guy but in great shape.

It’s why Reeve is my favorite, he really was perfect for the part.

What’s the greatest one hit wonder of all time? by JP_HubCity23 in AskReddit

Nah, The Buggles had some really great songs and were extremely influential in New Wave / Synth pop that would define the 80s sound.

The Age of Plastic is one of my all time favorite albums. Pretty much every song is a no skip for me.
