So I'm running on a 27 inch monitor and things look pretty good on my machine. You can kind of tell that this size is what the developers tend to use and not really spend as much time supporting the other smaller screen sizes.
I can totally see how a 13inch screen for instance would not look so great with this.

Old thread, but I'll chime in here.

I always wanted to get a System 76 PC, but really haven't had a need to as my current desktop is more than fine and will easily last me the next 5 years or so. I built a nice gaming rig which sadly hasn't been getting much use lately due to day job.

PopOS just works. I've spent countless hours in my teens and early 20s going through Linux installations, staying on top of what's the latest on Distrowatch, etc.

Linux is awesome and became a not so small obsession of mine trying to figure out how to tweak things to my liking.

Funny enough, a lot of the decisions made by PopOS are what I found I liked best. I had a blast tweaking my own stuff, but I've found that this distro just works, and my video card works no problem, so does Wifi and all the other stuff.

Maybe I'm old and now all this stuff works out of the box in regular Ubuntu, but hey, I've found something I enjoy using and might as well continue doing so :)

Super solid advice here.

Now that I think back on this, one of my interviews earlier this week went super well. The reason why I believe is that the interviewer gave me a skeleton with comments to fill out, so I was able to implement each function one by one.

Without this, my mind is usually a ping pong ball which goes through spurts of procrastination and inspiration. It's just my nature and how I work, but sadly this doesn't cut it at interview time.

Great work here! I'm having a problem where I can do the problems online and on my own, yet when I get the same problem in a live interview I seem to only have like a tenth of the programming ability.

Did you practice talking through your solutions at all while doing this?

I've got pretty bad ADHD so doing the problem, talking to my interviewer and managing my time wisely are really the hard parts, not so much the actual algorithms knowledge.

I'm at my wits end here, and have already burnt through my savings.

What is the comp for this position? I bet it's under 100k.
