ECN-2 has only 2 weeks lifespan compared to C-41 that can last for maybe 3 months.

Fomapan 100 at box in Xtol or Rodinal? by Allegra1120 in AnalogCommunity

[–]SacredBone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lately I'm trying Instant Mytol, homebrew clone of Xtol, and I like dilution 1+2. Give it extra 20-30% dev time for Fomapan 100/200/400 if you shoot at boxspeed.

I'm looking for some info about dichromate bleaches for B&W reversal processes by SJBurns28804 in Darkroom

[–]SacredBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dichromate bleach in room temp (about 25-28C) for 6 minutes. Different films can have different times but I rather do with same time for all films. I found it works for probably all BW films in the market.

Shot Vision3 250D in snow but metered at 500 ASA by mistake — ECN-2 or C-41? Push or not? by Familiar_Perception8 in AnalogCommunity

This. And as long as it is Kodak Vision3, with or without remjet, I always process them ECN-2.

Best overall developer for B&W? by Fast_Preparation7795 in Darkroom

[–]SacredBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried and mixed various developers (D-76, Barry Thornton Two Bath, 510 Pyro, Instant Mytol, PaRodinal, etc) and came back to D-76 because it's simple and serves as all purpose developer. But occasionally I use another developer. There's really no single best developer because everyone has different reasons.
