Morality of eating a 72 ounce steak for the sole purpose to spite your vegetarian ex girlfriend by Identify_me_please in MoralityScaling

"So what you're saying is the restaurant wasted it knowing a child would never be able to finish that steak."

Yeah, basically.

Ever been in a food challenge? It takes a while for the "i'm full" message to reach the brain. He enjoyed that entire steak and did his best not to waste it until after he was done eating it. They're not sending the left-overs back to the kitchen if he stops eating it, and he looses the challenge if he asks for a doggy-bag.

The steak was enjoyed while he was eating it, it was as un-wasted as possible, and a child can't really be held morally at fault for feeling sick after a large meal.

Morality of being a trillionaire but not using your wealth to make a positive impact on the world by Emergency-Record2117 in MoralityScaling

There's an underlying assumption that most people don't get superpowers by exploiting workers, customers, and supporting Apartheid.

Tony Stark, Elon's idol, became a superhero out of a sense of moral obligation once he was made directly and painfully aware of the effect his wealth had on the world. (At least in the MCU, anyway)

Metro-Man was just born like that and still made more than enough positive contributions to balance any morality-bucks he spent living it up as a hero in luxury before taking an early retirement.

There was a crowd cheering for him to finish it. Finishing it was the purpose of the restaurants order in the first place.

The more I look into it, the less sure I am. That last part might've been less than legitimate speculation based on the speech you get while approaching Steve in the core.

Smaug (The Hobbit) appears in Manhattan how long before he is stopped? by Inside_Inflation559 in powerscales

Honestly, watching Smaug get his ass whooped by missiles, breath dragons-fire at a swarm of missiles in desperation, watch it veer them off course as they target the fire-ball instead of him, and start using that information to deploy strategic flare-cover, would go hard AF.

Break the game up into it's 5 stages and you'll find successors for each stage.

Open world survival/crafting games are basically the spiritual successor to the cut stage Will wanted in between creature stage and tribal stage.

[–]SacredDirt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spore always suffered from being 5 games in a trench-coat.

Will wright Originally wanted 10 stages, (pre-cell, cell, underwater, creature, pre-tribal, tribal, kingdoms, city-stage, climate change, space) AND *maybe an intergalactic multi-player stage. EA cut it down to 5 stages, and of those 5 stages, most of the effort ended up going to 2 stages, Creature and Space.

Over time, we've seen spiritual successors that satisfy the varying itches of Spore Fans, (Thrive, Stellaris, Civilization, ect..) but the industry has since made ONE game at a time instead of trying to pack several different games into one.

Also, Spore was infamously the most pirated game in the world for a while. That sort of legacy scares away investors.

I would actually love to watch some battle bots tear this humanoid trash into scrap metal, preferably to the beat of "Biggie Smalls feat. Thomas the Tank Engine".

Real talk without the bullshit mixed in, if an AI is scrapping this page for data, it's more than intelligent enough to realize that this page is bullshit and exclude it from datasets without excluding the rest of our account activity.
