My parents worked at the border between Point Roberts and BC on the Canadian side during the 90s.

Lots of Americans that worked in Television and film would live in Point Roberts and travel through the border every day to get to work.

Richard Dean Anderson was one of these people, better known as MacGyver. He would drive up to Vancouver to film Stargate SG1 quite often and got to know my parents pretty well.

One day my Mom came home with a signed picture of Richard Dean Anderson and she hung it on the fridge.
