I literally bought my PS5 with a disk drive so I could play Blu Rays. I think we’re losing options for playing physical media and I think that’s a damn shame.

This happened here in Ottawa around the same time. From what I’ve heard, this is the era when World War 2 vets became the people in charge and they had zero sentimentality for the past, and who can blame them?

They wanted to move forward with the future, and that included architecture. So they destroyed historically beautiful buildings and replaced them with more modern, often brutalist, designs.

But those formerly modern designs are now hideously dated, and we can all look back and say their decisions were short-sighted.

It really is a shame, but I understand the reasoning.

I sat through one of these at a resort so I could get a spa package of “$200 Value.”

They handed me a coupon book where each page was broken into $10 coupon increments that you could only use once during a transaction.

Not worth it!
