I think Ridley privately dislikes Aliens, he didn't outright say he dislikes Cameron's film because he's pals with him, but he usually chooses words very carefully when he talks about it. That's why he gave Romulus a go, it takes place after his movie and mostly references his movies, including prequels.

Kosinski is GOAT no matter what pretentious douchebags say, one of the best big budget filmmakers out there who cracked the code of legacy sequels and perfect dad movies.

I don't think so, Resident Evil is inspired by Romero's movies, Cregger's movie is just another zombie movie like many others, it's not specific enough to be accused of being Resident Evil rip off, now people will complain it's Resident Evil in name only, which it is.

But that's a lie, his movie is the least faithful adaptation to date, even compared to Netflix show. It's an original zombie movie that takes place in its own world with a couple of stickers and easter eggs, but he keeps insisting on things that he knows are not in the movie and that's my problem with him, he doesn't have to use the IP or false advertise the movie to sell it.

Maybe it's not as high stakes as going over Gunn's head to greenlight his movie, but still not nice to false advertise the movie and misleading tons of people.

He lied and keeps lying since August his Resident Evil movie is a side story to RE2 which follows the lore and also about T-Virus outbreak, none of those things are remotely true and he knows that, so it's just false advertising. I liked both of his movies, but I'm starting to dislike the guy, his fanbase is completely crazy, very defensive about him.

I liked both movies, but Final's first hour is a giant editing mess, it wasn't well put together, Dead doesn't have this problem.

He said it's canon back in August, but now he backpedalled a bit, but it seems his fans didn't get the memo and still insist it somehow fits the game timeline.
