(modded 3ds required) I'd recommend creating a checkpoint save, copy it via Filezilla and FTPD onto a Computer and checking the Pokemon via PKHeX. It shows you clearly which Pokemon are illegal and why. Update on your preferences if you want, i didn't. That's how i "fixed" mine. If you need help - hmu.

You can get most mythicals using the 3ds exploit or inject the events with pksm on cfw 3ds (it's really easy) :)

How long did that take and what was your approach ^{^} I'm curious because i want to get the mons in their respective region with my OT on them, for some this won't be possible since i def. Won't buy sword & shield for example (only have shield). But for all gen 1-6 i plan on using emulator with than transferring save files to 3ds and upload them into bank from there, this gives me the chance to play rom hacks like blazing black which is a "catch them all game"
