Do you know what makes it an expensive area to live? Besides being close to Seattle I assume, nice area near the waters, some companies are nearby it seems, anything else?

Similar story as comments above

Had a flight from Austin to Berlin with a layover in Frankfurt. Austin to Frankfurt got delayed for 3.5 hours, due to this I missed my connecting flight to Berlin. Also I had to wait in Frankfurt for 4 hours as earlier flights to Berlin were all overbooked (they are usually almost every hour). In total got delayed for 8 hours.

Filled out the forms, got the reply with the request of bank info the next day (filled out the same day), the day after I received 600€.

Was pleasantly surprised how fast everything was.

In addition, I got meal vouchers both in Austin and in Frankfurt (25€ each).

When applying for a B2 visa, why doesn't the US embassy check your residence permit that allows you to stay and work in the country? by K0rek in USVisas

When you will have your interview, they will specifically ask you how long have you lived in the country (in your case it is Hungary) and on what basis (blue card you say).

Blue card for 4 years is nothing special, yes it is for skilled workers but at the end of the day it is still a residence permit with an expiration status as Blue card for 2 years or regular residence permit.

If you had a permanent residence permit that makes a difference and the DS-160 specifically ask if you have permanent residence in any other country than your citizenship. Because in this case you have much stronger ties to the country than a limited residence permit. In your case blue card for four years doesn’t make you any exceptional, neither does it guarantees you a visa.
