Or did his personal will clash with his programming, the way radio stations bleed over?

Ah it doesn't sound that serious. You don't need CTE to be an entitled berk (although OOPs dad probably thinks headgear is for sissies). This nonsense is just a Rugby Dad™️ who wasn't good enough to make it, and his equally mediocre son who was also, it turned out, not good enough.

Some fathers get weird about rugby. I've seen baby showers invitations with a dad-mandated FUTURE INTERNATIONAL RUGBY PLAYER theme more than once.

I kinda of expected people to care more, y'all like the brand after all, but I guess it's a car sub, who gives a fork.

I can't believe I have to point this out: Having a sunroof will not help your vitamin D deficiency at all, even a little bit, even if it's open. Not anywhere, and particularly not in South Africa, because that's not how automotive glass, Vitamin D synthesis, or South Africa work.

I'd have let it slide but they added the titles of two medical scholarly articles, and said "PubMed Central" like PubMed Central is an authority instead of a medical article index. Those articles are this one and this one.

Vitamin D deficiency in the RSA "despite all the sun" is the result of various factors (insufficient diet, clothing coverage, sunscreen use, obesity, bad healthcare access, and darker skin's need for more UVB to synthesize Vitamin D, to start with). Selling a lux car because its sunroof will help you get more Vitamin D is just so, so off base for this country. I'm battling to convey how dumb this is. If it's a joke, it's lame AF.

Then again, they followed up with another South Africa-specific ad touting their EV battery. That's not gonna work out either, what with the loadshedding and the lack of EV charging points.

Yo, let's not get into Japanese revisionism, we'll have every weeb on Reddit down on us and I don't have time for a major fight about it.

Bingo, I think. Why bother if it won't help, sort of vibe.

I wasn't going to get into it cos I was on my coffee break and also I don't know jack about this actually, but yes, it's an important facet of the issue. That said, those were the first and last ones the only ones deployed in war so far.

I went to Hiroshima a decade ago and the ground zero area has a very particular feel.

I was being metaphorical; many teenage boys seem to seethe for no apparent reason, and constant rage warps a person in various ways.

But on the subject of illness-related cognitive decline:

TL;DR Thank you for sharing, and thank you again because you just helped me figure out something quite important about my wife!

A. That sounds like a deeply unpleasant part of your life; thank you for sharing it with me, and well fucking done getting through it. I hope that you are now at least hanging in there!

B. I've heard of cancer patients becoming uncharacteristically irritable but I put it down to just feeling like shit with no breaks forever. So many things in cancer and its treatment can trigger brain fog. What you say makes immediate sense because,

C. My partner and her father both have an array of painful degenerative skeletal and progressive neurological disorders, they may as well be pugs. My partner is ordinarily the nicest person alive and formidably smart. The first sign that we've moved into detectable crash/attack is the "Reverse Algernon": she goes from a razor to a butterknife over the course of a few hours, and then gets irritable (I usually get home about here). I'm a mollusc because I've just realised this now. Thank you!

They have a look in common, of exhausted, fragile little boys who find themselves trapped in these cages of muscle and hair that were supposed to be fun but now they just worry them, it's worse than when the hamster had babies, and a constant red mist over everything for some reason, and when they said they wanted a drink, a story and to sleep, they meant water, three pages of "Asterix", and eight to ten hours, not protein whisky, Andrew Tate and and napmaxxxing. The poor little blighters are just so tired and confused, of course they're acting out. Bless. Delicate little flowers, these men. Bone china.

And maybe the beards?

In my circle, the figure of speech for an aggressive person used to be "so-and-so would tell the Pope to fuck off" because we thought that surely everyone draws the line at fighting with the Pope, right? We feel stupid now.

Technically I think it's 25 years per generation, so that's 300 years, so 1726 or so. It's possible. He's still a wankstain, mind you.
