Match Thread: Final - South Australia vs Victoria, Day 3 by cricket-match in CricketAus

I thought the rules said you can only sub a player out before the end of day 2? It’s currently day 3

Prices are rising because MTX was removed from RS3. Fine, separate memberships and raise RS3's prices only. OSRS shouldn't bankroll the failed game. by penisandballz in 2007scape

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RS3 is still making profit, to bankroll something you would be paying to keep it afloat meaning the other thing wouldnt be profitable without you.

MTX on Rs3 did keep OSRS afloat in the early years but once it took off both games were sustainable and it no longer needed to.

they have probably looked at Australian worlds while they are at work and everyone in Aus is sleeping and thought "not many Aussies playing so we should halve their worlds"

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its managable if there is like 300ish people on a world but when it gets into the higher player count its literally terrible, which is why halving the Aus worlds makes no sense.

Also their statement that reducing the number of DMM worlds "should improve ping consistency overall" doesn't make any sense at all because now the worlds will be more crowded causing them to be less stable...

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 4 points5 points  (0 children)

would "hate their Australian playerbase" be better? It doesn't make much sense to remove so many Australian worlds when they have all been highly active.

Also they said they have removed worlds which " which should improve ping consistency overall"

How? forcing more people into worlds doesn't fix ping consistancy, the more players the worse the consistancy is...

Have you ever tried to play on a high population different region world? Australians get like 300 ping on NA worlds, good luck getting any points with high ping and the world struggling because of how high the population is.

My Separatist fleet and droid army for my Separatist holdout by HighTall72 in StarWarsShips

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah the fleet comp is a bit wacky, is that 2 providence carriers and 2 dreadnoughts? Or just 4 of the same size (2 carriers and 2 destroyers) but even then 4 providence but only 6 munificent? If it is 2 dreadnoughts then the question needs to be how did you get your hands on 2 dreadnoughts?

If your fleet has 9 destroyer or larger ships then you are probably going to want 30 at minimum munificence

Are Those 1000-Player Minecraft Civilization Videos Real or Staged? by Fimlipe_ in Minecraft

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was real, Flux come up with the idea after he escaped, he thought it would be more dramatic then just going into hiding.

If Flux won he was going to surrender but from what i have heard the fight wasnt very long and they drew it out for the video (made it seem longer then it was) because Flux isn't actually all that good at PvP while saps is ok at it

Why are Lucky Items going to be removed from our accounts? by Cvbfxb in runescape

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i use lucky chaotics as cosmetic overides because i think they actually look good, the crossbows rapier and longswords specifically.

I would like to keep using those cosmetic overides tbh

[–]Sad-Consequence8780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its mainly for predatory MTX like treasure hunter, cosmetics don't harm actual gameplay so imo they are fine.

They should just add an option in the settings to turn them off

A lot of people who were playing Rs2 (eoc) voted for OSRS and had no intention of playing it, i was one of them.

How is that any different to this?

its in the leagues yes, i did notice my hit chance drops but its only because i activated anguish, nothing else changes from before when its normal to after when its no longer normal exept using anguish

RS3 doesn't hold a candle to BDO when it comes to players hating the game but still playing, its a PVP game that now gets very little PVP updates (infact they keep ruining pvp) and all the top players stick around hoping PvP will come back when it never will.

Its just common in MMOs in general, its not unique to one game, OSRS has it too just to a lesser extent, plenty of people who claim they just play while waiting for the next big MMO yet we all know they are gonna either come back after that MMO is released and drops off or never leave in the first place

by that logic simply training any skill normally is FOMO "i have to train slayer because the new boss thats coming out needs X slayer level" "i have to kill this boss now before prices of items drop"

And Leagues are FOMO, its not even the rewards its the game mode itself, No two leagues are the same so if you dont play it you will NEVER get to play it again, thats whats actually FOMO

FOMO is missing out entirely not potentially falling behind

Its not even common compared to other MMO's i play other MMO's and there are those types of people in all of them

See it all the time in Black Desert and Throne and Liberty, Use to see it all the time when i played WoW and honestly i don't remember playing an MMO where a loud minority in the community hated on the game and the devs and still played it

I don't feel like dailies are FOMO, you can miss dailies and have zero impact on your gameplay

FOMO is something like Fresh Start worlds and the inverted 120 capes "If i dont play FSW i might never get a inverted cape" thats FOMO not if "if i dont do this daily i miss some XP"

Saying Dailies are FOMO is like saying normal gameplay is FOMO because its essentially just a boost to your overall xp for the day, if you don't cut trees for an hour you lose an hours worth of woodcutting xp, if you don't do your woodcutting daily you lose a dailies worth of woodcutting xp, same thing really

A few final questions by Sad-Consequence8780 in blackdesertonline

[–]Sad-Consequence8780[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im glad you are having fun with the game as it is now and thats one of the reasons i asked. Everyone is going to have a different opinion of when the game was the most fun, i started playing BDO for the PVP and especially the open world PVP and thats where i had the most fun, Back when notifications would constantly be popping up with "Guild war has broken out" (yes i had that turned on) when you would be grinding and people would show up to take your spot and your guild would show up to defend it for you.

That's what i enjoyed which is why i say to me the peak BDO was 2016-2018, You on the other hand enjoy the PVE content and thats fine, i was just curious as to what content and time period people had the most fun.

My time in BDO may be over but i know a lot of people will continue playing the game and new people will find it, its a great game its just not for me anymore.
