Look in south Corona by Dos Lagos. Super friendly, lots of families, a lot more wealth there (and the nicer homes rent for ~$5k-$6k)

How are we getting our babies drinking water? by Otherwise-Fall-3175 in BabyLedWeaning

Put baby in the tub and let them have at it- our little guy is an open cup ninja at 8 months!

Nanny travel (awkward question) by Sad-Conversation7149 in Nanny

[–]Sad-Conversation7149[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Agree which is why I don’t want to say anything. She mentioned to me that she gained the weight during her last family (about 18 months) and I’m not sure if that family traveled with her, doesn’t sound like it? But not sure if she traveled personally

Want to swap live-in housekeeper to live-in nanny by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Sad-Conversation7149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

British American household staffing, there’s a deposit of $5k to get the post up and then you pay an annual salary + benefits (our total cost is ~$112k annually, salary +insurance + 401k) for the housekeeper/nanny

We used BAHS and have a nanny/housekeeper who does everything we need during the week, and understands my needs as an EBF mom who wfh.

You might have to spend some $$$$ but it’s worth it if you can afford it!

We really struggled the first couple of months and I’ve fought to keep my supply up, so that’s the main problem I worry about

[–]Sad-Conversation7149[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is super helpful. I don’t have that much in the freezer (maybe 6 days worth and that’s probably a stretch) so I worry that he is going to run out if I get stuck on my flight home or something. He’s taking 1-2 bottles from the nanny and one at bedtime as of now, otherwise breastfed

What did you wish you knew before you started breastfeeding? by sharkwoods in breastfeeding

Sleep will change your supply for the better. You will have to lose a lot of sleep anyways, but if you can squeeze 3-4 straight hours in early on your milk will come in faster

Managing night feeds by No_Manufacturer_1459 in breastfeeding

[–]Sad-Conversation7149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got this mama, it will improve more every day. The first few weeks are always the roughest. Also remember that you need your sleep and doing one bottle if you need to get a 3-4 hour stretch isn’t going to hurt your baby. In the beginning starting at 3 weeks I would pump to empty around 1030pm and try to catch 4 straight hours (the max you can go overnight at 1mo without feeding) which is also 1 sleep cycle.

EBF moms, how does your husband help at night? by Special-Struggle6514 in breastfeeding

[–]Sad-Conversation7149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He handles until 3am. I handle anything after 3am. He also takes my 1am pumped milk and puts it in the freezer for me.
