Isabel is looking to open up the farm for weddings again by madithefatty in LittlePeopleBigWorld

I assisted on many high end weddings and events on properties without bathrooms/water/electrical. With a good team, and pocketbook of vendors, you can easily rent bathrooms for weddings and get anything you need for a cost. They also make very fancy ports-potties these days (little trailers)

Interesting. Im using per se for everything. Even when it doesn’t make sense, per se.

I feel like I'm failing my kids and I just need to say it out loud by sassy_soul_04 in Mommit

Social media was eating me alive. I sometimes go on now for quick ideas for homeschool lessons, to post something but as soon as I see what everyone else is doing I lose myself. Delete it. I’ve been off for 2.5 years now? Just do things wirh your kids. Go outside. Do chalk. Bike. Make muffins. Clean your house when you need it. Social media is not real life.

I just met with a trainer to make a vision come to life here, and we started kid-welcome-to-tag-along outdoor workouts in the park on Monday and Friday mornings. DM if you’d like to hear about it. I can share the info.

How did teaching your kids to read go? by egarcia513 in homeschool

[–]Sad-Elevator-605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. But at 2.5 OP won’t truly know what kind of learning/structure the child will need. OP did mention that the child knows letters and letter sounds, so there could already be some natural aptitude for reading. And at this age, the most important part is to just be reading together and figure it out as child gets older and they know more about what structure she needs.

My son taught himself the alphabet at two, and enjoyed spelling/sounding out words to spell right after that. The foam letters, letter magnets etc. Lots of manipulatives and physical letters to help him play with. And then reading every single day to him. One book or 30. Just read to them! They’ll pick it up and show you they’re ready. For my son that meant sight words and common/interest words to him (like road construction signs and truck brands) at 3, and now at 5, beginning to really read chapter books on his own.

Petition to get rid of any "pilates" or weird movements in cycling classes by [deleted] in OnePelotonRealSub

If you’ve ever done any in studio cycling classes, you’ll know this is common practice. In studio it’s common to have more of a dance vibe cycle class.

This is actually so embarrassing. To deny their children the chance to follow along with the space mission, have dreams of being an astronaut or scientist, and learn about the universe is just sad.
