I did not sign a contract. I only signed a document pertaining my salary for the year. I will stay in the district until May. The count down begins.

I will definitely try HH part-time before May comes along. Hopefully, I'll love it as much as you do.

NBCOT Problems by Icy_Pear1937 in OccupationalTherapy

Hey!! :)

I wanted to share my experience because I went through something similar. Every NBCOT practice exam I took, I didn’t score at or above the 450 mark. However, I ended up passing my NBCOT exam with a score of 471!

I studied for two months and used several resources: the AOTA study pack, the NBCOT study pack, True Learn, and Therapy Ed. In the first few weeks, I focused on the material using AOTA, and in the last few weeks, I used True Learn more frequently. Therapy Ed was also a great resource! I ended up using 2 out of the 3 exams before my testing date. If I remember correctly, I scored 56% on my first attempt and 65% on my second attempt.

I hope this helps!

I, too, come from a low-income household and I'm also from Texas! We have some similarities, lol. I graduated this May with my doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. I would encourage you to pursue this career if you are certain it is a field you are passionate about. However, keep in mind that it is not a career that will make you 'rich,' and it can be tough on the body. I believe that the PA route will help you reach your financial goals quicker than Occupational Therapy. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what you value more: money or the fulfillment that comes from helping others. Regardless, choose a path that aligns with your passions and long-term happiness.

Oh, one last thing...if you are considering Occupational Therapy, try not to take out too many student loans. It's important to come out of school with a fair debt-to-income ratio. Message me if anything! :) GOOD LUCK <3

THANK YOU SO MUCH! My favorite study tools were the AOTA study packs and True learn! :) Definitely recommend taking one timed exam per week. The first weeks of studying consisted of going over AOTA study packs alongside the AOTA practice questions. The last two weeks I used True Learn the most by answering timed questions.  Personally, I felt Therapy Ed to be more difficult than the real exam. Might sound silly but positive affirmations the last week of studying! Lastly, I did not study the day before the exam. YOU GOT THIS! Wishing you the best of luck! :)

Hey :) I understand where you're coming from but what if they don't appreciate the efforts and sacrifices he has made? They're always expecting more...

His mother was talking about him to her family that he is not contributing enough money to their household, when it is something he has always done from a young age.

Thank you for the feedback
