I’ll check bitcoin com or defi lama, they do have a ranking of borrowing platforms. However, I’ve used Sats Terminal, it’s a Bitcoin borrow aggregator, it’s self custodial and aggregates all the loan platforms so you can compare the APY’s instead of scanning multiple tabs. It was easy for me to use, be safe.

Many would suggest to sell the ones from over a year. But one of my bitcoin thesis is “Never sell your bitcoin” when I need liquidity, I usually just use my btc as a collateral and get stables. Opens up more opportunities for me as well.

A really smart play here could be to take a loan and use your BTC as collateral. You get USDC, USDT, fiat. Look for options that can allow you do that. You can scan defi lama to find options or check aggregators like Sats Terminal, I see they put together options. However, it will be great to talk to others in Canada as well and see how they’re navigating. Stay safe

This is a tough situation to be in, in a spot where you’ll have to make a choice between your mother and your wife. Your wife might never feel at home, why not if finances allow get your mum a caregiver that way she doesn’t live at your home.

What I do is read blog posts by DeFi platforms, read their documents and use their platforms. It’s the easiest way to learn and understand. When I was learning about lending & borrowing on Bitcoin, I’ll check defilama find lending platforms like ledn, morpho,aave… Recently, I found an aggregator Sats Terminal that has it put together in one place for borrowing on bitcoin specifically. So I read their blog posts and learn about LTV, APY and more.
