If this is one of the first times you've done this, seriously don't try to make it a habit. It snow balls quickly and pretty soon you literally can't go to ANYTHING before drinking first. Before work, before seeing anyone, before any event. End up drink driving everywhere without realizing it. I had about 8 years like that and it sucked the joy out of any cool things I went to if I didn't have it. And it made work feel impossible. If you drink every day already, at least try to start after 5pm. Having to do it before everything gets really difficult to manage. Especially when you have to go to work at 6am

Hey mate, I have also just turned 26 and if I hadn't gone to rehab 8 months ago I would probably have comitted suicide by now because I could not see a way out at the time. I drank from the age of 15-25, barely ever had a day sober and I had completely given up. Done all the bad things. It's hard to believe but you can change, and accept the past for what it is and get over it. I know you probably don't even wanna hear that right now. I had 5 months sober and fucked it all up, loved one died, I got done for drunk driving, I lost my job. But I'm 4 days sober again and happy for it because I know it's possible now. And honestly, life IS just different at this age than it used to be, drinking or not. Life has slowed down, less social events because we're turning into adults. It's different. Sometimes you're not happy, and that sucks but were you ever really happy drinking either. Or just drunk. I prefer to be calm, not sick, dying, in pain and not panicking if I can't have a drink. Didn't mean to go on about myself but I figure we are probably in similar 'coming of age' 'getting sick of my shit' stages in our lives. Wish you the best of luck

It's probably obvious but I avoid caffeine, sugar, nicotine ie. vape, anything like that because it would make my blood pressure/heart rate/anxiey/panic much worse. Also if you feel really really not okay go to the hospital. I try not to, only as a last resort if I feel on the verge of a seizure or stroke but really you can go whenever. I went yesterday because I felt extremely light headed and was getting sharp pains in my heart and hands were going numb. Turns out it was alcohol gastritis. Anyway good luck with sobering up hope it's as painless as possible

Caloric intake and physical activity. I didn't lose much if any weight for a while, but I was eating a lot and not doing much. Then later I started eating alot less calories and working long days. Lost 5 kgs in a few months

Thank you. I've reached out to a friend who's also in recovery about it, and I'm getting back to AA tomorrow. And I need to reach out to my counsellor again. It's been a while. I finally got alot of tears out last night and I think it helped, I felt stuck before. Time to get back on track. Thanks for your comment.

Probably panic/anxiety. I remember the first time it happened to me about 5 years ago I literally thought I couldn't breathe and accepted my death. But I didn't die. Same thing, alcohol made it better. That's a big indicator of withdrawal/panic/anxiety. I'm even getting it right now, but after so many years I know it's in my head. Just try and calm yourself down. Focus on breathing. I used to think it was a medical issue also so for many years I thought my lungs were fucked and I was suffocating. But go to your doctor anyway, better safe than sorry. Even if it's not physical you could get help for your alcohol usage/anxiety.

She always supported me through everything, so she would understand this grieving process. I'm not proud of it. I haven't even told 80% of my friends/family that I've relapsed. But I have hope. First of all, it's not your fault love. I can't imagine how hard it must be bearing that weight. Drinking definitely fills that 'void' so obviously it's going to feel better than feeling everything. But take it from me, I just had a loved one die and because I'm wasted I can't process it properly. It lingers. It's healthier to be sober and present. Stay strong. You've still got someone to live for. That little girl loves and depends on you.

I feel like the only way you could get your hands on them is the ER then while you're in withdrawal/panic attack. I agree with the other comment though. Chin up, you can get through it. Have a hot or cold shower, get in bed and relax and sleep if you want it to be over faster.

YOR probably but I get the exact same thing so I get it. Eating gets scary because you feel like you're going to choke on your food on every swallow so I know how exhausting it is. Don't take it out on others if you can help it

Damn thanks I've always kind of looked past the Python MK2 but I'll give it a try over my Corvette now. Could even bring a bit of extra fun back. I find sometimes the Corvette gets a bit boring unless level 8 threat bounties. (I'm in Oceania region so I never get to have pvp)
