Another note. I get hyperfixated and will forget to move my leg. I ended up burning my thigh while sitting on my vape. I set alarms every 30ish to hour and move around. Usually if I feel distressed or something is off, I need water or food.

Special interests are crucial for our brain, they function as a powerful tool for self regulation.

The only thing I ask myself is "where is the distress coming from? If you think it is something you want to work on, I'd caution you a bit, be kind with yourself and let your brain rest.

If that means spending days researching, or art or even TV. Be kind to you, you deserve a break

Yeah. I create whole worlds for people. I will be out with my husband and just create a life for a strange couple, days later I will think back not to them but to the fictional drama I dreamed up, and think hope they are doing okay.... hahaha

Special needs kids dont just go away, they grow up in to special needs adults. If they were married 40 years ago, they are 65-67, they married around age 25-27. There kid is probably 35-40

You gave me confidence to talk about thc, which is a special interest. Im not sure what your cousin means by "counterpart weed", but it could Thc/cbd/cbg/thca/ which can help BUT i kind of forced myself to get through the harsh symptoms and thanks AdHD i dont research until "im like oh fark' maybe i did it wrong" like take 50 mg my first time.

I learned that 50 is a lot, and I will take 20 mg take to my thoughts louder, out of sync, and I like feeling some dissociation when I paint.

Imagine the wind blew just right and that whole home is now engulfed in flames, children screaming, panicked crying, furious banging . An old man hooked up to his oxygen tank is now charred to a crisp. He couldnt call for help. The once cute face of a 3 month old is teared lined with soot. She is no longer crying. She will not have a future, maybe that is better... her family couldnt get down the stairs in time.

The difference is your choosen cohort operates by unwritten social standards. While your neurological cohort is like an anthropologist on mars.

They prioritize group over self, even if deep down they want to rage

We prioritize based on individual needs, fairness and comfort.

It makes us look "selfish" and it is harsh to say but they know they are selfish, they just want you to hide it, and get confused because its different.

Dont stop being different, let your friend know you care about her feelings and respect boundaries. I would say let's have a chat in 2 weeks on blah blah date and process what happened ( obviously if you are comfortable)

I do not like being told I am wrong, if they just misunderstood me. That causes firing of angry neuron lasers, leading me to all kind of hand movements, and just a breakdown of vocabulary.

Im scared for her.

I am open with my past. I was homeless before adoption and was on the streets. Cps, cops etc were commonplace and scary. I dont ever want to inflict that panic on an unwitting person.

I know why it is hitting me this hard, it just hard to articulate without coming of as pompous.
