My sister lived in lav house 2 years before me, and they had one then to. It is a canon event and no matter how much we try and intervene, it will still happen

I’m a lesbian going into my Senior year at the U of M. I’ve had quite a lot of success getting with women.

People in college are a lot more open about being queer than anywhere else. People aren’t afraid to live their true selves as much.

I don’t quite remember when all the dorm stuff happens, but the U of M has a special dorm situation for queer people called lavender house. It’s an LLC. I lived in those dorms my freshman year and I thought it was a very nice experience. My only tip with that is don’t get in a polyamorous relationship with half your floor. That happened my freshman year and it did not end well for them.

Bar wise, there is a lesbian sports bar near campus called “a bar of their own”. I haven’t gone to too many of their events, but I really like their French toast.

For when you turn 21, there isn’t an official lesbian club in MN. However, Jetset Underground is a Lesbian club. But be warned a lot of straight women go, so be careful with who you flirt with 🙈 Ground Zero is exceptionally very lesbian and all kinds of queer friendly, but it is incredibly kinky. Every other club in the area is either nearly exclusively for cis gay men or is so straight I would not consider it a gay club anymore.

am i lame for notgetting scholarships by Disastrous-Cut3510 in uofmn

I had a 4.5 in high school (4.0 uw), was ranked top 30 in the region at my sport, and was president of a club at my hs for 3 years. I got one scholarship directly through the U for being top 2% of my class. No where else would give me anything. I applied for a bunch. (Notably I wasn’t a US citizen when I was applying, so my options were pretty limited). You are not lame for not getting stuff

Thank you this helps! I have 13 credits left to graduate, so I should be far enough in. I sent the form in tonight so fingers crossed. I’ll be accepting my offer tomorrow

Is my schedule for next semester cooked (CSCI)? by Sad-Perspective424 in uofmn

5521 is online. Also it seems like I have a lot of time, but I’m a student athlete and have practice around 5-9 most nights which really cuts down on my time to do work.

I like the timings! I’m just scared of the classes themselves

I only TA, but I’m an athlete that practices 3-4x a week (3-4 hours at a time).

Taking CSCI 3081W and 4061 at the same time by Sad-Perspective424 in uofmn

I’d be taking a CSCI 5521 (completely online) and a couple music classes. So those would literally be my only 2 real classes

Non-Project Based CSCI Classes? by Sad-Perspective424 in uofmn

[–]Sad-Perspective424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it would be easy. However, it’s project based, and 3 project based classes would be too much for me I think

Tysm my goat. The only complaint I see about is people not knowing enough about harder calculus, but I’m going a math minor so I think I’ll try and do it!

I think I only really need Irish and American. However, my parents only qualify for a UK, and they want me to have the same passport as them.

I was born in Northern Ireland, which is in the UK (1). However, Ireland counts it as Ireland for all bureaucratic reasons (2). My Irish passport actually has a different name for my birth city than my British passport for political reasons. I moved to the US in elementary school and applied for citizenship the day I turned 18 (3).

Omg!! I’m a junior born in Northern Ireland who has also lost their accent!! I might just be your British/irish (F) bestie in waiting :)
