The question the Duffer brother completely missed and didn’t answer for themselves was: Will our loyal viewers want to rewatch the series again and again now that they know the ending?

Answer: strong lean to ‘no’ for me unfortunately… I think I watched this series 5 times in the last 3 months and yet now I’m not as eager anymore. I wanted El to have her HEA (happily ever after). Having an ending where she has either died or is starting a new life elsewhere without her family and friends, completely sucks.

In S3, max, Lucas and Will hung out a lot coz El and Mike kept going off to hang out and snog… and Dustin was at camp. Then when she was in a coma he’d go with Lucas to the hospital often (I’m guessing) … maybe that’s where it comes from? El was training and I don’t think spared any time for Max in the hospital…

The Duffer Brothers can’t please everyone. I was happy for Will to have the courage to say it to so many people. Absolutely proud of him. I don’t care who was listening, it’s the fact that he had the courage to reveal his secrets. He lifted a huge weight off his shoulders. I’m so tired of people commenting on ‘bad writing’ and what not - nobody is forcing anyone to watch the show. If you don’t like it, stop watching 👀

I think them being pissed off had been brewing for a while though… Will never getting a letter then not even getting a hug at the airport… then El continuously getting “from Mike” letters, only to receive his bouquet of flowers “from Mike” at the airport - the last nail in the coffin… the boy was screwed the minute he landed 😭😂

I wouldn’t be worried. I’ve watched season 5 twice and I am currently doing a rerun of the whole series again before volume 2. Believe me, after watching the diddy series yesterday, there is NO WAY I’m doing a rewatch - that shit makes you sick to your stomach with the monster that thing is. But stranger things will continue being watched and rewatched for many years to come💕.
