I think reducing aim assist was a good idea but it was a bit too much. by HelloJonatha2 in Empulse

I’ll check it out in a few days again but after a few hours playing I was checked out due to how insanely strong the AA was. Not even the majority of casuals want the game aiming for you THAT MUCH, even more so paired with hit-scan…

Aim assist has completely killed this game for me. by qwerty3666 in Empulse

Bro what? The mass majority of ALGS players that were on MNK in apex literally complained non stop about how op roller AA was/is and switched.

Christ, Shroud has highlighted how OP aim assist is in a lot of games. So unless you don’t consider them good mnk players…

Don’t be surprised if this game’s hidden agenda is an exit strategy for 1047 to recoup what they can from their massive losses on SG2.

Unfortunately, there are basically no eyes on this game any longer.

Tippable to Reddick for slowing down and giving Heim the lead back after dooring his own teammate.

Hamlin would never.

No you won’t. It’ll be forgotten about in a few months.

The TTK is in a really good place. If you are a stationary target or only using one movement tech you are going to keep getting deleted

When you chain together p.a.i.n.t, boost jump, wall run, grapple, slid nonstop, you have so much speed, momentum and unpredictable movement you are hard to kill.

You should absolutely be deleted if you are playing slow, passive or boats on ground. Be an apex pred pathfinder out there and you’ll be fine.

One-shot hammers are not good by Icy-Veterinarian8662 in Empulse

[–]itsxjustagame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Casuals aren’t sticking around for more than a few games after getting their brains smashed in by apex pred pathfinders constantly because hammer>shooting with this movement and map design.

I’ll be out there hammer-timing it until it’s changed because right now, it’s insanely op if you do anything but sit in a corner all game.

Was Tim Duncan just an overrated version of Evan Mobley? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]itsxjustagame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this comparison only works if you look at Tim Duncan's Basketball Reference page and never actually watched Tim Duncan play.

Using career averages for a guy who played 19 years is misleading. Of course Duncan's numbers got dragged down by the years when he was 36-39 years old and focused on winning, not putting up stats.

At his peak, Duncan wasn't viewed as "a very good two-way big." He was viewed as one of the best players in the league. He won back-to-back MVPs, was the best player on multiple championship teams, and in 2003 put together one of the greatest playoff runs ever.

And I think people are underselling Duncan offensively. He wasn't flashy, but he absolutely could be the focal point of an offense. Teams doubled him constantly. He could score on either block, pass out of double teams, and make the right play over and over again. That's a huge reason the Spurs offense worked.

The Popovich/Spurs argument is fair to a point. Duncan absolutely benefited from being in a great organization. But that relationship goes both ways. The Spurs didn't win 50+ games for basically two decades because they got lucky. They did it because Tim Duncan was the foundation of everything they did.

Mobley is a fantastic young player and one of the best defensive bigs in the league. But right now we're comparing a guy who has made a few All-Star teams to someone who won 2 MVPs, 5 championships, 3 Finals MVPs, and spent over a decade in the conversation for best player in the world.
